What's New in Guild of Dungeoneering

1.5

February 20, 2017

This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included. Watch out for Ice Cream Headaches! Our second Adventure Pack is now available as a FREE update! Our second expansion pack, Ice Cream Headaches, is now available! Quest through the snowy mountains, visit the ice cream monks and battle all new monsters like the Slushie Elemental and the Pygmy Mammoth. With 21 new quests, 30 new monsters and 3 new classes, it’s our biggest expansion yet! Ice Cream Headaches also introduces Favour, an all new gameplay mechanic which can aid in your quest’s success… or failure. Earn Favour by defeating monsters in rooms with a Rune of Fate, and spend your Favour to earn powerful card-manipulation effects. Use your Favour to draw extra cards in battle, or even remove weaker cards from your deck for the rest of the quest. If you have previously beaten the game you should restart in one of your old save slots and take on the new region with a new save using the 'icecream shortcut' option. We have also included some bug fixes & much improved memory usage to reduce crashes on some older devices.

Guild of Frustrations

This game made me want to throw my phone off the cruise ship I was playing on. You get stuck with not enough gold to buy the next thing and so you have to earn pennies to get to the next upgrade. So you end up just losing and losing and losing to the same tier 2 or tier 3 quest objective.

The game makes on feeble attempts to give you hints on how to adjust your strategy.

I don’t want to be guaranteed to win, but i also don’t want to feel stuck or trapped.

Still an amazing game, wish there were more DLCs

Brilliant and perhaps unique turn based combat and exploration game. I played it first when it came up and just returned to play again after many years. Still satisfies. Amazing job.

Clever, well designed, loads of fun!

I’ve had the app for a while, and keep coming back to it. I keep hoping the team will put out a GoD 2, and if they ever do, I will be buying it the day it comes out.

Une suite, please !

J’y reviens régulièrement depuis sa sortie, il y a 6 ans. Définitivement un des meilleurs jeux en catégorie RPG/Cards.
Pas vu d’équivalent à la hauteur à ce jour…

Got free on PC. Liked it so much I bought the app.

App is even better.
Why are you still reading this? It’s worth more than $6.

FAQ

What is Guild of Dungeoneering?

Guild of Dungeoneering is a unique turn-based RPG where you act as the Dungeon Master. Instead of controlling a hero directly, you build the dungeon around them using cards, strategically placing rooms, monsters, traps, and loot. You manage your guild, recruit new adventurers, and upgrade your decks to guide your heroes to victory.

How do I play Guild of Dungeoneering?

You play by drawing cards from your Guild decks to lay down dungeon elements like rooms, monsters, and traps. Your hero then navigates this dungeon, making their own decisions about where to go and what to fight. Between dungeon runs, you manage your guild by building new rooms to attract different adventurer classes and expand your card collection.

What are the expansion packs?

The game features two expansion packs: 'Pirates Cove' and 'Ice Cream Headaches'. 'Ice Cream Headaches' introduces new quests, monsters, classes, and a new 'Favour' mechanic that allows for card manipulation during battles. Purchasing the game now includes all future content updates for free.

Is Guild of Dungeoneering compatible with my device?

The game does not require an online connection to play. However, it is noted that Guild of Dungeoneering does not run on older hardware such as the iPad mini 1, iPad 2, or iPhone 4.

What is the cost of Guild of Dungeoneering?

Guild of Dungeoneering is a paid application. The developers mention that as content updates are made, the price of the game may increase. Purchasing the game now guarantees all future content updates for free.
