This app is game changer

This app changed everything for me! Nothing has helped improve my technique more than what i found here. You can add libraries for specific topics - economy picking, swybrid, sweeps, scales, pentatonics. Pretty much everything you can think off, and it is right in your pocket. For me it became a revolutionary way to practice and organize my practicing. So much effective than traditional books or vids. Don’t forget to check another standalone apps from them, there are some that not exist as a library for Driller

I love it but

I purchased almost everything offered for guitar. I not happy to find that the type of melodic scale sequencing I hoped for is not in any of the apps or add ons.
Simple ordering like 2nd note, first note, 3rd note, 2nd note, 4th note, 3rd note, 5 note, 4th etc…. And variations
Did I miss them somewhere?

I also wish you could customize notes patterns And have 7 & 8 string offerings.

I think you have done incredible work on these. I love everything about the GUI.

Welcome! In the near future, after two years of work, we plan to release a new pack for Guitar Driller - "Alternate Picking Guitar School". It will include over 4200 different technical, theoretical, and rhythmic exercises, including Hanon exercises, with various sequences and some pieces such as "The Flight Of The Bumblebee", "Paganini - Caprice No. 5", and others! However, as you know, the Swybrid and Economy pick technologies do not allow for the use of some ordering notes in sequences due to the specifics of sound extraction. Some of our apps provide a simple visual representation of content for easy learning, while others are designed for technique! Best guitar app. Worth the money

I wasted my time on other guitar apps so you don’t have to. This is well worth it. The free version has demo modes with great warm ups . You can even slow it down and it’ll tell you whether to pick up or down. Great for developing new techniques or even brushing up and tightening old ones! 10/10.

The best exercise guitar application

Big variety of exercises, modes, scales and chords! Very friendly interface and useful settings which allows you to gain your skill of guitar playing! Different packs and integration of other Fonexis apps are amazing!
I highly recommend this application for all level guitar players!

Excellent! But wish it had some options for playing notes in different order.

This app is almost perfect! The layout / interface is brilliant…. everything is so clear and easy to use. All the buttons and info are laid out in such a clear way that you have all the info you need to focus on playing scales at blazing speed, yet can quickly slow down and focus on just a few notes at a time. And there's some clever shortcuts like holding down the play button to toggle “auto play” on off! The sound and graphics are so FUN... it has a feel of a classic video game. All of these things make this a great tool for learning scales on the guitar. Well done.

I just reaaally wish there was play the sequence of notes in a different order. All the exercises seem to play each note linearly up and down the pattern like 1,2,3,4.
It would be so useful to practice the scales with some different note orders like 1,3,2,4 etc.

Dear user, thank you for your feedback! Of course, many of the exercises are designed for mastering high speeds. However, examples like Hanon exercises will also be included in the new packs and schools. Now a very large school of alternate picking (more than 3000 various exercises) is being prepared for release! There you will find 1,3,2,4 and 1,3,5,4 and others! Best regards - Fonexsis

App won’t open on phone.

I liked this app, but for some reason it won’t open anymore on my phone. I paid for a lot of the packs so it’s a little more than frustrating. If they fix it I will change my review, but as it is it’s unusable.

Update:
Ok so I got a developer response 6 months later which seemed to make fun of my review which said the app isn’t opening. - the response was something about my review being a joke and April fools is over. - I thought, “ok that’s rude but maybe they fixed it.”

So I tried to open the app, and guess what it, it still didn’t open. I get the Fonexsis screen then it just crashes.

How many stars should I give this app that doesn’t open on my iPhone 12 with iOS 14?

It does open on my iPad though, so that’s a plus.

I like the app, I think it’s good, but it won’t open on my phone.

Вперше познайомився з цією програмою на початку 2021, до того займався по відео з youtube. Останні пів року займався саме з Driller та іншими програмами від Fonexsis, такі як Chord-Scales, InChords, Open Chords, Arpeggios. Сьогодні приємно здивований результатами від занять, адже техніки перемінного штриха/свіпа та навігація по грифу стали набагато швидшими і цікавішими. Зручно займатись в 3-х різних темпах (повільно/середньо/швидко), що дозволяє освоїти вищі bpm. Безліч вправ на синхронізацію лівої і правої руки. «Кишеньковий дриллер» тільки здається звичайною програмою, яких є безліч на ринку. Та ні, це справжня школа у мобільному форматі, просто розширте бібліотеку за допомогою додаткових паків і розвивайте нову техніку гри де завгодно\m/! Driller має зручний та інтуїтивний дизайн, а окрім багатьох додаткових паків, дозволяє створювати власні підбірки “Playlist”, для прикладу з вправами чи певною послідовністю акордів. Це свого роду секвенсор, в якому без проблем можна занотувати і відтворити композицію, використовуючи акорди, арпеджіо, секвенції з програми. Стосовно того, що це справжня сучасна школа гри сумнівів немає. Кожен пак пропонує певну послідовність вправ та секвенцій, які в кінцевому результаті дозволяють опанувати ту чи іншу техніку гри. Дуже багато матеріалу з чіткою структуризацією і послідовністю, за що окрема подяка розробникам! Мені здається, що Driller це маст-хев кожного гітариста, в незалежності від стилістики і стажу гри. Впевнений, що досвідченні гітаристи будуть приємно здивовані матеріалом, який знайдуть тут. Для початківців аплікація теж адаптована, адже має розділ “Glossary” де детально описано кожен термін, які музиканти будуть завжди зустрічати на своєму шляху. Також показано декілька хватів медіатора, постановку рук і т.д. З великим шансом ця програма стане персональним тренером в вашій щоденній рутині.

Could be perfect

But it lacks one very important detail. When you adjust tempo to YOUR tempo, it jumps back into ripping fast automatically as it jumps to each exercise. It will mess up your flow having to stop constantly to slow it down again and again. Adjusting global tempo doesn’t help either. I’d otherwise give it 5 stars. Great layout and good musical exercises. Pricing is more than fair.

Dear user - in guitar driller there are specially playlists where you could add any exercises from compatible packages and programs !!! On each sheet, you can individually or completely set different tempos for each exercise! You can even set up the same exercise at an accelerating or decelerating pace. Please read the tip of the day !!! And can you reconsider your assessment?

If you play a custom tuning, it’s useless.

Outstanding

The Fonexsis tools are the best guitar practice routines I’ve found, and this driller takes it to the next level. You can quickly set up custom practices using exercises from various modules, each with its own tempo to allow you to keep them all right at the edge of your ability. Expensive but absolutely worth it, these tools make practicing enjoyable which is amazing.

I think your apps are excellent. You’re an incredible educator. What could make your scale apps better is if you added more sequences. Almost all solos are built with scale sequences (i.e. 1,2,3,4/2,3,4,5 ect) ... playing scales... cdefgabc... in a linear fashion is great for beginners and learning scales... Although the real creation of soloing in music lies in the sequencing, motifs and licks that are derived from the scales. Many advanced players use your apps and we can benefit even more from them if you would add more sequences or make an entirely new app with sequences only(pentatonic, blues, modal)... Thank you for your awesome apps❤️

Thank you very much! Of course, we plan to make packs in which there will be etudes, plays and licks II-V or I-VI-II-V, possibly for individual musicians! However, it is important to show all existing guitar techniques first! Packs are planned in the near future: Alternate, Hybrid, Selectiv Picking techniques!

Really? Supply and demand be damned. Lol. Look, I want to learn the shred like the metal gods but even that is asking a lot. But hey, I guess it’s a bargain since I notice another app used for talking to other people is priced at $125. Just wish it was on sale is all

Awesome app

I got all the apps by Fonexsis and i must tell that I don’t need no any other guitar apps anymore. All info organized in such a fulfill and comprehensive manner, so you can find everything you need and even much more. Also love the way how the practice routine can be organized inside the app

Wow! The best practice tool out there.

You won’t need any other app, guaranteed. My technique has risen to new heights - and after a month of daily practice, my playing is more melodic as the fingerings come naturally. This app will replace endless hours with a teacher, and countless books!
The accompanying instruments sound great, not cheap at all. A joy to play along with.
Endless flexibility of time signatures!!!
I now see the fretboard in a new dimension (really!), and the exercises have given me greater reach between the fingers. Now improvising is both easier and more pleasant.
I discovered a ton of modes and scales which I’ve never encountered before.
There is a revolutionary approach to fingering here, which will change the way you look at the guitar forever.
