Not enough

You don’t give the player enough controls over the scales. You should be able to touch the notes you want played back. Because as it is on my iPad it only plays the root notes and not the whole mode. Good concept but it seems like it’s not finished. If it had more hands on features it would be good

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback, I’m not sure if the issue though, you can tap any note in the scale to play it and all modes are available if you tap the centre of the note circle. Please get in touch via the info page in the app.

Recommended.

Simple and elegant design. The 3d feature means you can do visual learning even when you can’t play a physical guitar, such as during a coffee break. Totally worth the very modest upgrade fee.

No sound. On iPhone 11

I’m glad it was only 99 cents for the upgrade. It would be a good practice tool if you could here it. I cannot recommend this app. Until it works properly. I realized if I plug my earbuds in I have sound. Hmmm!

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback. It’s unlikely that having no sound is down to the app, restart your iPhone and make sure the mute switch on the side isn’t set. Let me know how you get on.

Tuning issues

I tuned my guitar correctly to A440 hz and still could not ‘sync’ with the app. The app is out of tune by a tone. Help!!!

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback. It’s unlikely the app is out of tune, double check your tuner, make sure it isn’t set to tune your guitar to D. Let me know how you get on.

Top app

Cool little app for learning scales. Just what I’ve been looking for
