About
Wind on the beam, tide under the keel, and a slip just wide enough. Bring the boat in gently. Gull Harbor is a small Maine harbor seen from above, where real wind, tide and current push every boat just as the sea would. Arcade handling makes the start easy; switch to Realistic any time between jobs
for the full model and 25% more pay.
REAL BOAT HANDLING
• Gusts you can see coming across the water, a tide that rises and falls, current at the harbor mouth, and swell rolling in past the breakwater.
• Every boat stops, turns and backs as the real hull and propellers would: momentum, windage, prop walk and twin-screw twisting.
• Real controls for every drive: an outboard's throttle and wheel, twin throttles, a bow thruster, waterjets and azimuth pods.
• Every berth is scored out of 100: how gently you touch, how straight you lie and how long you take.
A HARBOR CAREER
• Start in a 6.6 m RIB with a six-pack license, running water taxis between the town landing, the ferry, the yacht club and the moorings.
• Log sea time, sit practical exams, and work up from Master 25 Ton to Master 100 Ton and the towing and rescue endorsements.
• Run the pilot boat out to ships under way and hold at the ladder while the pilot steps across.
• Tow broken-down boats in, in four clear steps: the line comes in under way, and the job is done once the tow is inside the boatyard box.
• Answer search and rescue calls in a 42-knot Rescue Boat: find each survivor
• Skipper clients' yachts to the marina's slips, show visitors the harbor in a tour catamaran, and meet the island ferry.
• Build a fleet in the harbor's boat shop, from a sport fisher and a Down-east lobster boat to the Harbor Tug, each rated by sea trials.
GULL HARBOR
A detailed harbor on the Maine coast: the town landing, the yacht club marina, the island ferry on a timetable, coasters in from sea for the cargo wharf, the lobster co-op, the Coast Guard station, islands and ledges, and a lighthouse at the end of the breakwater.
SANDBOX
Take any boat out in the wind, tide, current and swell you choose, from the RIB to a 33m ASD tug with twin azimuth pods.
