Guoguo

Guoguo is a creative imaging app built for slit-scan time reconstruction. It transforms videos and Live Photos into long-form visual strips by extracting frame-based pixel slices and stitching them into a single continuous image. Instead of capturing a single moment, Guoguo lets users reshape duration itself, turning motion, color drift, and temporal rhythm into abstract compositions. With a controllable slit axis, adjustable slice thickness, and tunable sampling rate, users can explore how time bends across an image. The rendering process happens locally on device, giving the app a fast, technical, and experimental feel. Each result also includes detailed reconstruction data such as temporal ratio, slit coordinates, extracted frame count, entropy, and render time.
