About
GutClues is the private, on-device food, bowel, and symptom tracker for people managing IBS, Crohn's, ulcerative colitis, SIBO, or unexplained gut issues. Three buttons. Five seconds to log. The food-to-symptom patterns your gastroenterologist actually wants to see.
No account. No cloud. No data sales. Everything stays on your phone.
WHY GUTCLUES IS DIFFERENT
• Everything stays on your phone. No account, no sign-up, no cloud.
• One-time purchase. No subscription. No ads. No data sales. Ever.
• Built so a 5th grader could use it, with clinical-grade data underneath.
• Designed to be exported — one tap turns weeks of entries into a PDF, spreadsheet, or plain-text summary you can send to your gastroenterologist, primary care doctor, or an AI assistant.
WHAT YOU CAN LOG (IN SECONDS)
• Food — type a few words, or snap a quick photo, or dictate a voice note
• Bowel movements — pick the picture that looks like what you saw; capture Bristol stool scale, urgency, blood, shape
• Feelings — tap a face; add notes if you want
• Water, caffeine, activity, medications — small taps, nothing required
• Backdate any entry — forgot last night's dinner? Stepper the date and log it
• FODMAP-aware food tagging — flag low/high FODMAP meals as you go
WHAT IT DOES FOR YOU
• Surfaces the food-to-symptom patterns between what you ate and how you felt
• Builds the structured record GI doctors actually ask for: "What did you eat, when did symptoms start, how often, how urgent"
• Helps you spot triggers across gluten, dairy, FODMAP, caffeine, and stress
• Gives you a "no surprises" window before your next gastroenterologist appointment — you show up with the data already in hand
• Lets you stop wondering and start noticing
PRIVACY IS THE WHOLE POINT
Your logs live in GutClues' private database on this device. We do not have a server. We cannot see your food photos, read your voice notes, or know what color your last bowel movement was — because none of that ever leaves your phone. If you delete the app, iOS deletes your data with it. If you want a copy, the Export screen lets you choose where it goes.
WHO IT'S FOR
• People managing IBS, IBD, Crohn's, ulcerative colitis, SIBO, or unexplained GI symptoms
• Anyone on a low-FODMAP, gluten-free, or elimination diet looking for symptom patterns
• Anyone prepping for a gastroenterologist visit
• Parents tracking a child's reactions to foods
• Anyone who wants to stop being surprised by their own gut
MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
GutClues is a tracking tool, not a medical device. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. The patterns it surfaces are observations, not findings. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your symptoms.

What's New in GutClues
1.2.6
July 21, 2026
Log every episode, not just one: • Log as many bowel movements in a day as you need. After you save one, Gut Clues confirms it and offers "Log another" right there — no trip back to the home screen. • The Food and Poop buttons now show a count for the day you're viewing, so you can see at a glance how many are already logged. • The morning catch-up card lets you add several episodes for yesterday in one pass instead of stopping after the first, with a running count as you go. • The overnight check-in now records a bathroom trip, vomiting, and fever together instead of closing after the first tap.
