Thank you, and thank you for giving it a second look. The first few weeks after the rebuild were rough, and a lot of long-time users understandably didn't stick around long enough to see it improve. Ten years is a long time to trust an app, and I don't take it lightly that you're still here. The exercise animations and improved Apple Watch integration you mentioned were both things I wanted in the original and never managed, so happy to hear they are working well. -Wade
Great app, but
** update, app is even worse now. It glitches, its slow, it forgets the sound of the end of a set ….it was good while it was untouched. I will never again sponsor anything from this developer.
Old Version Better
Response from developer
Most of what you're missing is switched off rather than removed, and I'm sorry that isn't obvious ( that's on me not you). Settings → Workout: turn on Show Set Times for rest between sets. Turn Auto-Advance off so it stops moving on before you've compared. And turn on Match History to Routine in the settings so only show your 2-set day's numbers. Editing a set is a long press, which you're right isn't discoverable. On the superset button: mis-tapping it silently stops your rest bell, which is a genuine flaw and now on my list. Try those three switches as they change that screen into most of what you're describing. And if you'd rather tell me directly what's still wrong: support@gymlogplus.com. -Wade
Best True Lift Tracker
Their complete app update made everything better without compromising the functionality of the previous iteration. Best lifting tracker on the Market.
Bring back the old version
Features have not been replicated. Clunky to use and slow latency at time. Hopefully will be improved in future updates.
Some more updating needed
“Finish Workout” - arbitrary, easy to miss, too much click-through to get there. Just let us finish and be done.
“Workout in Progress” - needlessly restrictive, especially when swapping between workouts on ad hoc days. Old system worked fine enough in this regard.
Update isn’t great

Good news: all of that is still in the app, and you're already running the version with it. 1RM, max weight and max reps: tap an exercise's name during a workout (or from the Exercises tab) and its page shows your estimated 1RM, heaviest set, and rep maxes (plus the training percentages). The record celebration: a trophy appears on the set the moment you beat a record, with its own distinct buzz, and your records are called out again on the finish screen. The one thing that genuinely changed is the sound--it's a haptic now rather than an audible chime. But your request has been added to my roadmap for future updates. If any of the above isn't showing up for you, email support@gymlogplus.com and I'll sort it for you. -Wade
Love it
My only complaint is that the description and the graphics for the exercise don’t always tally. This would be an easy improvement for the developer to do progressively, just clean up the database of exercises. Do that and this gets 5 stars
The upgrade is good, importing history is easy - just check if you have multiple profiles since the upgrade doesn’t select by default your most recent and so you may think you’ve lost all those routines you developed and the associated history. You haven’t, just select the latest profile. And if you are new to the App, is irrelevant !!
general good app, but text size an issue
Not loving new UI changes

Both of these are quicker than they look. Ending a workout: tap the three-dots menu at the top right and choose Finish Workout, or swipe past your last exercise to the finish page. Moving between exercises: swipe left and right, or tap the list button at the top right to jump straight to any exercise in the session. You're the third person this month to tell me the workout controls are hard to find, which makes it my problem rather than yours, so it's on my list for something to improve on. If ending a workout still doesn't work after trying the menu, email support@gymlogplus.com because then it's a bug that I'll want to investigate and fix. -Wade
