This app sucks now. It was really good until you had to pay an increasingly more expensive subscription for the “same great experience” or whatever. Now, you can’t update weight on super sets, I have to constantly restore purchases to get the premium exercises to show up, and of all things, I pay a subscription for this tripe. Excel will work just fine, and I don’t have to pay a subscription for it.

every week i’m kicked out my account and can’t log back in. charged twice in the same month and still no reply from the developers.

Had this app for years and often check out other apps to see if surely someone else has made something better or come up with a fancy new idea but nope, this one is still the best. It’s an excellent app that has everything you need.

Heart Rate/HRV reading?
The app used to show live heart rate with a connected monitor. I have a Polar H10 chest strap that I use with the app but it recently stopped working with the app. There’s no setting to connect to heart rate monitors in the app so I don’t know what to do to fix the issue. I’ve already deleted and reinstalled the app, repaired the chest strap, changed the settings in the polar app and nothing fixes the issue. I like my data synced up with my workouts.

I have downloaded at least 10 lifting apps in the past 3 years, and Gymaholic is by far the easiest to use, easiest to adjust to whatever type of program you’re running (Powerlifting, Bodybuilding, functional, etc). The premium features are way worth the price (which if you compare to Fitbit, Strava, Wahoo, Gymkeeper, GreySkull, or Stronglifts 5x5 it’s cheaper!!!).
This app has a boatload of exercises pre-loaded, but if you want to add one that’s not on the list, it’s a piece of cake. You can even snap a picture of the exercise from the internet and add it to exercise description!!! I haven’t seen anything like it!
You can adjust rest times on the fly, be notified when rest time is over, it’s fantastic!
The augmented reality feature is wicked cool, because it will tell you when each muscle group is ready to rock again after self-adjusted or recommended rest days! I will never use another app!

Simple tacking very practical love the new ai to create workouts
Been using it for a while now, simple to use only the watch. They recently added ai to build workouts with weight apple ai or chargpt and works very well

Rapid Regression
Been using this app for years and years but lately it’s unusable on iPhone 17 Pro and Apple Watch Ultra. I loaded the app on my new phone. Keeps asking me for my apple password to restore my purchase. Premium exercises wouldn’t show on my watch. I uninstalled to reset it and now I can’t even get the app to load on my watch. The subscription costs are not inexpensive relatively speaking… which I’m fine with. But the amount of bugs and issues over the last couple years have turned me off. Reinvest in your product, guys.
