Too many changes, money hungry
So first of all, the game was fun. WAS. You struggle at first but after weeks of putting in the work, I finally got one of the programs called a proxy and at level 20 proxy, it hides your ip from the scanner so no one can find you anymore. It’s really nice. After WEEKS of playing and struggling with people hacking me constantly, I FINALLY got the proxy level I need and now all the crypto I make is for myself and I’m having fun being in stealth mode. However, they just released an announcement that all my work is for absolutely nothing. I even bought the elite pass, which gives you extra stuff every month. They are now changing the proxy that after using 1 hour of proxy, it takes 2 hours to recharge with NO PROXY at all, which means I have to go back to being hacked all the time and all that work I did to stay hidden was for absolutely nothing. I will be removing my elite pass and deleting my account if this announcement goes through. If you’re reading this, the announcement did in fact go through. I will be removing this review if the announcement is cancelled. Honestly, the first hack ex was way better if you want to stay with this company…
Update: they just announced they’re going to continue to push this stupid update about stealth. I have cancelled my monthly subscription and will no longer be playing this game. I spent weeks upgrading everything to be able to have the level 20+ proxy to stay hidden from other players, just for it to be ruined by money hungry developers.

🎧Sound system‼️🔊
Hey dev and game developers🧑💻, it’s not needed but I highly recommend a sound system or sound effects🎧 and stuff but if you ever have a chance or ever are in a situation where you don’t know what to add this a a recommendation!😁👍
Fun Game, but hard to stick with
Really fun game, I loved the first one, but it’s really easy to hit a wall and get shut out of progressing. Because of the long wait time for processes to finish, the game can pretty easily become an ad watching simulator if you want to play for more than five minutes. Also, if your wallet keeps getting drained because a bunch of high leveled people hacked you and put viruses on your device that you can’t clear, you’re basically stuck unless you pay for special single use items that clears your device and gives you a new IP, and even then the cycle just starts again after the cool down. It’s a fun game and a great concept but it needs to add tools that lower level players can use to actually protect themselves from getting dogpiled.

Toxic people
There are two or three crews that are so toxic, in game and on discord. I have been targeted with harassment AND hateful “art” in my logs. Yes I have screenshots. I have sent emails, and feedback through the ingame feedback mechanic. I’m tired of being bullied. I have spent legitimate money on this game because I love it so much, have spent hours and hours over the past 76 days. Please do something about it.

Alright, but some issues
Original was better, but this isn’t too bad of a redevelopment.
However the main issue I find when watching ads to skip timer, the close button after the reward granted never works, so you have to force close the app and then when you re-open it, you don’t get the reward anyway.

I gotta say, I’m glad I got the email that yall made a new version, I’m sooooo diggin it. However, i think I speak for all of us when I say if we could have a widget for the Home Screen it would take things to the next level!
V2, Next Level
When this game originally came out and was an amazing first of a kind app, now version 2 has that same feel taking the gameplay, new features and challenges to the next level! Many new tools and surprises. So much fun to be a pseudo hacker.

Not great
Sadly, the design, direction, charm and everything that made the original Hack Ex so good is no where to be found. Which wouldn’t be a big deal if the replacement was decent, but it’s not. It’s a boring, sloppy AI put together game with no soul at all. I got really excited when I got an email saying this game was out as I loved the original and always wondered if they’d make another. Sadly, I wish they didn’t. Real shame

Poor Gamedesign
The problem is that the success of a running process ist always dependend of rng. This makes upgrading the apps nearly useless. Another thing is the small playerbase which makes it in the late game way to hard to earn crypto because you get robbed around 2 times in 10 Minutes. The idea of the game is cool but the execution is poor

Devs delete reviews, Game is easily hacked
Every single day theres someone thats exploited the game. Apparently anyone can hack this game for real and the devs praise it over the people who actually try and play the game. They banned 1400 people at once and changed their terms of service to basically screw people out of refunds.

Hi. Apple does not give us the ability to delete reviews. They keep/remove reviews based off their own voting/algos. We have not banned nowhere near close to the number you mentioned and we absolutely do not praise players who have hacked the game. We've worked hard to fix issues and exploits and reduced those issue greatly over the weeks. Many players have reached out and been very helpful in finding bugs while others just falsely accuse. We try to listen to those willing to be helpful.

Honestly it’s a good game and I enjoy it. Only thing I dislike is the times it takes to install things on devices like spam etc. community is awesome and one of the best communities i have ever been in.

Critical Security Flaw: Plain Text Passwords + Major Exploit & Unfair Bans
This AI-coded game (which even uses Claude for support) has serious problems. Huge performance issues, excessive battery drain, and lots of ads (some NSFW).
The most alarming issue: Username and password are sent in plain text with no encryption — a major security risk.
Combined with large backend holes that enabled a major exploit flooding accounts with dirty money. Instead of a proper rollback or fix, the devs mass-banned legitimate players who were simply using normal PvP hacking mechanics. They ignore issues and punish normal players while providing only generic support.
Extremely disappointing, unsafe, and unprofessional. Better off playing something else.

Fun game but risky if you spend money
I really enjoyed Hack Ex 2. The hacking concept is unique and addictive, and I spent a lot of time grinding for XP and trying to climb the leaderboards. I even spent around $100 on in-app purchases over the past month because I was having fun with it.
Unfortunately, my account was permanently banned. I was initially told it was related to receiving exploited crypto from another player (along with about 20 other players who interacted with the same accounts). After appealing, support later said their logs showed automated activity and made the ban final. I don’t use bots or scripts — I played manually for long sessions (often 4+ hours straight into the night) because my goal was to reach the top of the all-time leaderboards.
The most frustrating part was the mixed communication. I received an offer during the review process that was later walked back. Once the ban was final, there wasn’t much room for further discussion.
If you enjoy the gameplay, it’s genuinely fun. Just be aware that spending real money comes with risk if your account ever gets flagged, even if you believe it was a mistake. I lost access to everything I purchased.

Such an upgrade
The sequel to one of the best mobile games. I loved the first one, and somehow they managed to make it even better!! New items, new systems, new everything, but somehow manages to keep it super familiar. I started playing a little late, but had no issues catching up. It is a grind, but that’s my type of game.

Email switching
I created my account through "sign in with google" option. Now I use a different email and I can't change the email that I made the account with. So all of my progress is locked behind an email when the game says I can "change" it, but you can't. Please fix this and add a switch email option for users who created their account with "sign in with google". Please.

The only mobile game I play anymore
This game started as a fun hobby, but it’s become so much more. I play it every day, and login every 12 minutes to steal from everyone else’s wallets at maximum efficiency. I hang up phone calls from my dad because I’m in the middle of refreshing my spam botnet. My roommate disappeared a week ago, and someone is banging on my door yelling at me about rent but I’ve managed to tune it out and barricade the door. I will not be interrupted while playing this game. I turned Do Not Disturb when my phone started blowing up after my mom died. Even from the grave she tries to pull me away from this heavenly experience. Funerals are for plebs. Download this game so I can put level 20 spam on your device.
