Login doesn't work
Just gives me a bunch of repeated popup msgs saying I can't log in with that username/pass combination. I've just used it successfully on the HN website, so this must be a bug in the app. Also, no feedback option.
Slightly broken
Usernames and karma have gone...and I can't login, but it's good for reading the latest and 'hot' news. I would also call the things that have broken a feature, no bias!
Paid apps usually have more support...
This app is still useable, however the login has been broken for months now and feel as if the developer(s) have abandoned it. At $3 and for being a relatively easy app to build I expected for it to at least work. Overall just disappointed in the support

Used to be the best HN reader out there, but now login is completely broken. Avoid it until it gets an update.
Couldnt even log in / No "New" feed
Logging in won't work with correct credentials and there's no way to switch views to see what's new.

A number of things are broken -- most annoyingly the commenter's name. This app badly needs an update.

Has gradually broken more and more over time. As of about a week ago, doesn't work at all.

I've used this app daily for monthes. It is broken, and doesn't offer the features of the 'news:yc' app. This one is not worth the money, in my opinion.
Works, but broken point display
It's got a lot of features, but after logging in the point count doesn't display properly (displays zero for all stories). I'm going to try news:yc instead.
Broken on iPhone 3G
Don't buy this app if you're on anything older than a 3GS. It only works occasionally - usually, it just hangs on startup and then crashes.
The app itself is decent enough when it works, but probably not worth the price anyways given that it's just another feed scraper.
The developer should either fix these issues or mark it as unavailable for older hardware/OS versions.

Update required
Changes to HN broke the app, so you can't see usernames on comments or the number of comments on posts
It's been busted for awhile now.
I keep waiting for an update in vain. This thing is broken. If it was free it'd be worth the cost. Save your $3
Best HN app, still needs work
It's great for the most part. Best one in the App Store. Still could use some work, more frequent updates/bug fixes.
Like, for example, ever since HN switched the scoring mechanism on posts + comments the usernames have been broken on this app.
It would also be nice to be able to browse profiles and other streams like "new," etc.

No longer works correctly
This app needs to be updated, comment count does not work, comment usernames don't show, and the orange bar is a tad too much. Michael: fix those things and I promise to revise my review. Please look at AlenBlue app for an elegant way to hide the "chrome" around the app.

Does not really work
Does not really work, tons of bugs. Needs to be updated by dev.
Needs an update
A few weeks ago the app has started acting up. Possibly something YCombinator changed but you can't tell anyone's name in comments. Also if I login with my account and refresh the stories all comment counts drop to 0. If this were a free app I wouldn't have bothered to do a review but since it cost 2.99 I figured people should know before they drop their money on it. If all you do is read stories and read comments and don't care about 2.99 then the app is great, any other use, forget it.
