A decent reader for HN
This has been a great daily reader for HN. I’ve never logged in through it, but the read only experience is excellent. The design is clean and highly readable, looks great on my OLED screen.

Can’t seem to login to my account even after resetting my password. No VPN on either. Otherwise, it’s a good app.
new ui sucks
Please revert it back, the new UI is really ugly. Components are too spaced, cant find a good font size; too much empty space everywhere. Appreciate the attempt, but it's really bad. Makes me want to look for other options.
Latest update sucks
The app's latest update sucks. I only want to copy the link but it keeps copying the thread title alongside the URL which is so frickin annoying. Please remove this and return it to the way it was. I only want to copy the URL, not the superfluous text. I’ll change my review to 5 stars otherwise.

Weird redesign
App was great, before this unnecessary redesign which now makes every news too big. We can only reduce the font size, but the padding is way too big, and the buttons for upvotes/downvotes ate taking way too much space.
Beautiful UI
This app looks absolutely gorgeous and so native in iOS 26, could’ve fooled me that Apple made it. Huge props to the dev!

Broke a few months back
This app no longer loads comments and just says can’t connect to hackers news. Been going on for months. I’ve moved on.

Unnecessary permissions
Recently it requested permission to connect to other devices on my network, this is completely unacceptable for an app like this.
I can only assume this is for invasive and intrusive analytics and telemetry gathering, which is very gross. This app would otherwise get a five star.

Missing feature: replies!
Nice overall with small complaint
Very nice app, looks very polished with black mode. One problem — the app is too sensitive to sideways movements when scrolling up or down. This results in either the left or night options being pulled from the side rather than actually scrolling. I’ve never experienced this on another app so don’t feel it’s just the way I scroll? It enough creates minor friction with enough frequency to move to another app unfortunately.

Nice UI, but hugely frustrating scroll
When you’re scrolling comments it keeps opening the swipe left/right menu, meaning you need to be very careful with how you scroll thereby removing the focus from actually reading

Used to be good, lately very buggy!
This app was almost perfect, and a great way to read and interact with hacker news..
However lately it’s been a mess. The share link it’s getting duplicated and finicky. The recent issues loading post and the bug “fixes” don’t seem to be working (it’s still not loading for me) has sent me off to find something else.
