Communication with my clients has improved greatly using HairAssist. Text messaging, emailing is really easy with the app. Write a note and click send. It’s that easy. I’m happy the price to use it has come down too.

I love that I can keep my pricing per client right at my fingertips. My color formula’s, I keep photo’s of my foil placement when doing highlights. Every client has there own personal file.
If I need to market to my clients, I can choose to email or text my clients with either one text or email or I can choose who I want to communicate with.

Too Expensive
This was a good app and I was using it for several years but overnight they increased the monthly fee by 5x the original amount. They’ve added the ability to text and email customers from the app but no option for those who strictly use it as a simple database to continue without paying full price. Wish they had more options. Having less features at a lower price point and a Pro version would have made more sense for existing customers. Very disappointed in the price increase.

Very bad service
I have had this app for over two years. I have even upgraded to the paid version. When they Upgraded the app I lost all of my pictures. I have tried to contact them repeatedly and they are not answering my phone calls or my emails.
Easy client managent system
I am able to manage my clients efficiently as I can manage their data easily by uploading images of their hair and write some details also , so that next time they visit my saloon I can easily get their record.

This app is a god send for hairstylist.
I have worked in salons from Arizona to 5th Avenue, and Madison Ave in NYC as well as freelance, and this app caters to the needs of a busy stylist.
Hair Assist allows you to send out text messages and emails notifications to all your clients, which is great if your a stylist on the go.
The customer service is great. If you have any questions, Peter is quick to respond. I sent him an email in regards to my account and I received an email that day.
The great thing with this app, is that it cost less than a lunch or a drink at the bar to maintain your business with ease and have all your information save to a cloud.
I see below that people are complaining that they have to pay for the app... As a hairstylist, I am pretty sure they dislike when people ask them to do their hair for free, so why should a company give their services away for free? Especially, when is app offers so many features.
You must spend money to make money... and I’m pretty sure your Starbucks habit is more expensive than the one-time a month, monthly charge or this app...

Lost all Information!
I lost all of my client information. Signed in and out a million times, emailed the help email and still no answer. I literally had a bunch of colors today and literally learned I lost all of my info as I was going for a formula. Very angry! Not using this piece of crap again

I had a problem with this app after using it for a few months... the creators of the app did get back to me after a few days.. the app had changed... it was no longer a free app due to circumstances beyond his control.. I did not see the email I was sent. Long story short... I don’t like paying for apps.. he had no problem with my decision and he emailed all of my lost information back to me. He acted very professional and if you are one to pay for apps.. I would highly recommend using HAIRASSIST. Problem solved.

Lost all client data!
I have been using this app which was free for many years. Went to look up a client one day and it said to pay for iCloud sync. I tried as it gave me no other option but it froze and now I cant retrieve any data! Now starting again with an alternative app.

I would love to give this app 5 Stars, but due to some issues of being locked out for a few days, I can’t. BUT I will say that the support I received from the staff was excellent. It was prompt and they made it right and saved me as a customer. The app is very user friendly and gives me all the data I need.

Had an issue with this app recently and the support team was very patient and responsive to my needs. I recommend this for any stylist especially booth renters or any stylist that take their profession seriously.
Lost of data
I see many complaints about losing clients and color formula.... I got this issue twice because of an update, I contacted the customer service and they answered me even on Sunday. I got my data back in less than 3 days.

Update corrected!
Ok everyone, I was a free user on here and thought I had lost all my info. after the update. I logged out and logged back in and e-mailed the guy and he got all my info back for me. The update had to happen apparently because the business was losing money. To his defense he said he e-mailed I believe close to 4,000+ people or so and only 200 had opened the e-mail. It probably went to peoples spam folders or something. Either way, I hope you all can be understanding and he can get it back for you. I’m giving this a 5 star review because he resolved the issue immediately, apologized, and explained the situation. I think it’s a great app and works wonderful now that I have all my info back lol. As a business owner I would have hated to be that situation and I think it took him off guard as well. I’m trying to be understanding and hopefully once you guys have all your info. back you will be too. Life happens. Peace.
