About
A driving log for people who go to the mountains for the corners.
Hairpin records your rides by car and by motorcycle, and measures them by what actually matters on a mountain pass: hairpins, corner radius, elevation gain. Not speed.
HOW IT WORKS
Hit Start before you set off, pick your vehicle, and go. The app follows the route, counts hairpin points as you drive, and draws the track on the map. At the end you get the map, the numbers, and a speed graph laid out over the distance you covered — so a coffee stop doesn't squash it into a corner.
ON A MOTORCYCLE
With the phone in its mount, Hairpin measures how far you leaned. No extra sensor: the lean angle is already inside the lateral force, and at the end of the ride you get your maximum lean next to the hairpin count. In a car, peak lateral G takes its place.
PASSES GET STAMPED
Twenty-two Alpine passes, from the Cuvignone to the Stelvio. Reach the top and the stamp is yours: once, and only by going there. Every badge carries the line you actually drove over that pass — not one drawing for everybody — and shares as an image.
HAIRPIN DNA
From your rides the app works out what kind of corners you look for: median radius, rhythm, how much climbing you take per kilometre. Then it tells you which passes you haven't ridden yet are like the ones you love.
THE ROADS YOU REPEAT GLOW
Every ride lights up its own track. After a few months it stops being a map: it's the record of where you actually go.
WITH FRIENDS
Start a crew or join one with a code. Your people's rides show up in the feed, with headlight flashes instead of likes. You compete on corners, elevation and passes reached.
THE OBD PORT
Plug in a Bluetooth OBD reader and you'll see engine revs during the ride too.
ON THE LOCK SCREEN
While you're recording, time, distance and hairpin points stay visible without unlocking the phone. The home screen widget keeps your week's tally.
WHAT YOU WON'T FIND
No speed leaderboards and no records on public roads: it isn't that kind of app. Speed stays in your own ride telemetry, and that's your business.
Your rides start out private: only your crew sees them. Make your profile public and anyone on Hairpin can see them, and they reach the people who follow you. Account and data can be deleted whenever you want, from inside the app.

What's New in Hairpin
1.4
October 8, 2026
Short drives are now always saved: under a kilometre, only you can see them. Hairpins and curves are counted only while you are moving, no more false counts when standing still. New: "Report a problem" at the bottom of the home screen. Discarding a drive now asks for confirmation.
