Hi Zwalston, Thank you so much for supporting Halcyon Forecast and taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry for the frustrating first impression! We investigated this immediately on an iPhone 17 Pro and identified the exact bug: on a fresh install before the app has cached local weather data, WidgetKit was encountering a network timeout on cold start, causing iOS to terminate the extension and leave behind a blank container. We have completely resolved this in Version 1.6.9: 1. Zero-Lag Gallery Previews: Widgets now render instantly in the Widget Gallery without waiting for network requests. 2. Cold-Start Safety Guard: We added a strict timeout safeguard with instantaneous sample fallback so widgets will never freeze or appear blank, even on fresh installs or with slow connectivity. 3. Memory Optimization: Reduced timeline footprint to ensure smooth performance across all iPhone 17 Pro & iOS devices. Please update to Version 1.6.9 when it is available from the App Store and re-add your widget, it should appear instantly in all its retro skeuomorphic glory! If you have any further questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at coryblaze@gmail.com. If this resolves the issue, we would be deeply grateful if you'd consider updating your rating. Thank you again for your patience and support! Just to add, you might need to open the app first then add your widget.
