About

Remember your dreams without writing a word. Half Awake listens on your iPhone or Apple Watch and keeps your dream journal for you. Say what you remember out loud, eyes still closed. Your voice is turned into text on the device itself, given a title, a short summary and a handful of tags, and filed under last night. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Recordings, transcripts and tags live in this app's own container on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours holding your dreams — we do not have one. Speech becomes text using the device's own transcription; when a language has no on-device model, the app says so and asks you to type instead of sending your voice anywhere. CATCH IT FROM YOUR WRIST The Watch app asks one question at your wake window — "Remember anything?" — and one tap starts recording. A complication puts it on your watch face. What you say is handed to your phone and written up there. If you would rather not speak, dictate or scribble it on the Watch instead. YOUR JOURNAL • Night by night, with the moon phase of each entry • A month grid that shows the nights you caught and the ones you did not • A streak for mornings in a row • Edit anything: the words, the title, the tags, the mood, "this was lucid" WHAT KEEPS COMING BACK (PRO) Counts, not readings. Which images repeat and how often, how the weeks felt, how often you knew you were dreaming, and the hour your recall is sharpest. A thirty-night recap written on your phone from your own entries. Half Awake never tells you what a dream means. LUCID TOOLKIT (PRO) Reality checks at hours you cannot predict, a single wake-back-to-bed reminder, and your own recurring images shown back to you as cues. All local notifications; none of it is an alarm clock. TWELVE LANGUAGES English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Arabic and Hindi, including right-to-left layout. FREE Unlimited dreams. Unlimited voice capture and on-device transcription. Watch capture. Titles, summaries and tags for the last 30 days. The streak. The small widget. HALF AWAKE PRO Patterns and recurring-image links. The lucid toolkit. Full-text search across every night. Audio playback and keep-audio. Face ID lock. iCloud sync, off by default. Export as Markdown or JSON. All widgets. Half Awake is a journal, for reflection rather than treatment. It gives no medical, psychological or therapeutic advice. If your sleep worries you, please speak to a doctor. — Half Awake Pro Monthly: $4.99/month, no free trial — Half Awake Pro Yearly: $29.99/year with a 14-day free trial — Half Awake Pro Lifetime: $59.99 one-time Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. What's New in Half Awake

1.0.1

October 22, 2026

VoiceOver now reads the wake-window times by name (“Window opens”, “Window closes”) and adjusts them with a swipe up or down. Also: sturdier crash reporting, so problems are found and fixed sooner.
