It needs to be fixed
Like the title says it needs to be fixed, I’ve had to uninstall and redownload it just to get off the greeting page, there has to be a bug or something or it’s simply not working. Either way it needs to be fixed because as good as it is to check grades and message classmates on the go if it doesn’t even load it’s not worth downloading.

Halo app GCU
As soon as I downloaded the app, I can’t open it. It just stays on the purple frozen screen doesn’t let me login or anything.

Recent Issues
I had been enjoying the app until a few days ago. It won’t load past the purple screen. I love it because I get notifications when the professor posts, grades posted, and I can also reply to classmates. Please fix the bug! I just uninstalled and reinstalling hopefully just works. #fingerscrossed

The app worked for a couple of weeks, but now it won’t load when I open the app. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it hoping it would fix the issue but it is still the same. Please fix!
Does not open
A year ago when I first started with GCU this was a blessing to have. Now that I try to use it, it just stays frozen and never opens. It’s frustrating because I used to use this religiously for my homework when I was on the go and couldn’t bring a clunky laptop. Please fix whatever is causing this issue. It worked temporarily when I deleted the app and reinstalled it but then it stopped.

Fine, when it works
I find myself having to frequently delete and redownload the app, lest I become trapped on the Purple Logo Screen of Eternity.
Otherwise, the functionality is clunky but you can respond to last-minute discussion posts as necessary, send messages, and view grades.

This app seems pretty useless. It’s nothing like canvas or other school applications. It’s just an app that launches your internet browser for you to your schools website instead of you typing it in manually. Nothing helpful
App won’t launch
The app wont launch. I get notifications about grades being posted or messages but that’s it.

I receive notifications from the app, tap on them, and am stuck on the same purple loading screen. I am unable to access anything school-related and inevitably just end up logging in using Safari. super frustrating.
A waste
This app has zero usefulness. It still routes you to safari to actually use/view your canvas, I receive no notifications of any kind!
Inconsistent
Some days the app works fine and then it doesn’t for months. I get notifications for graded assignments and announcements but the actual app won’t open. I have to log into my account via safari and it’s just inconvenient. Not to mention the lack of notifications for what really matters (assignment and dq reminders/due dates). GCU has way too many resources and individuals who are great in tech to be allowing this app to plummet. Great idea but not maintained and updated.

It’s not good
This app is outdated and I have so many issues using it. So the only reason I keep it is because I get my notifications of my grades and any messages on my phone. But in order to view my assignments or anything else I have to use a browser.
