HaloBLE

HaloBLE is a GATT terminal for your phone — scan, connect, and debug BLE peripherals the way you would on a serial port, without being tethered to a laptop. **Who it's for** Firmware engineers, embedded developers, and hardware makers working with nRF, ESP32, STM32, or any custom or off-the-shelf BLE device. If you've ever needed to send a few bytes to a characteristic and watch the response come back, HaloBLE gives you that workflow in your pocket. **Scan** Live device list with name, address, and RSSI updated in real time. Star frequently-used peripherals so they surface first. A 30-second auto-stop keeps the radio from running indefinitely when you step away from the bench. **ASCII / HEX Console** Send commands as plain ASCII or raw hex. Configure end-of-line termination per device — CRLF, LF, CR, NLCR, or a custom byte sequence. Switch between side-by-side and full-width display modes depending on how much context you need. Incoming and outgoing traffic are clearly differentiated in the log. **Macros and Sequences** Save commands you send repeatedly. Placeholders let you insert a timestamp, an auto-incrementing counter, or a newline anywhere in the payload. Chain commands into comma-separated sequences where each TX waits for the previous RX before firing — useful for query-response protocols where order matters. **GATT Browser** Walk the full service and characteristic tree of any connected peripheral. See UUIDs, declared properties (read, write, notify, indicate), and current values. Toggle notifications or indications on any characteristic. Read values directly from the tree without switching to the console. **Per-Device Memory** HaloBLE remembers your settings for each device individually: write characteristic, EOL mode, display format, write type, and escape handling. Reconnect to a device and everything is exactly where you left it — no reconfiguration required. **Write Types** Choose write-with-response or write-without-response on a per-device basis, matching the behavior your firmware expects. **Logs** The console retains up to 5,000 entries with automatic trimming when the buffer fills. Clear the log with a single tap — a confirmation step prevents accidental wipes. Export the full log to a plain text file through the system share sheet for later analysis or bug reports. **Privacy** HaloBLE requires no account, performs no telemetry, and makes no network requests.
