The HRE series apps are probably the most useful study apps I’ve had. These helped me get my general license and now going for my Extra. Although a lot of these apps are similar I find these to be the more straightforward and easy to use.

I used all 3 of the HRE apps for Technician, General and Extra class, this app is convenient being able to study from a phone during free time. Thank you to the developer!
Fantastic way to study
After searching around for a good studying tool, I landed on this app. Very straight to the point, gets the job done. Out of all the other programs I found, this one was the best. my only recommendation is on option to put missed questions into its own category. Would help studying a lot more. Overall really great app, thank you for making this

Great apps
These apps have been very useful to me in passing my tests and they function flawlessly. Easy to practice any time I have a few minutes since they are on my phone. My only issue is that the dark blue headers used at the end of the tests are too dark for black print. I’d consider either lightening the blue background or switch to white print.

Amazing app
I’ve been using this app for about a week and it seems to be the best studying and testing tool out there.
One issue I noticed when I upgraded the app was when I take you take a sample exam I can’t read the results. It says you scored XX% by scoring…. This shows up dark green text on a royal blue background. Before the upgrade I believe it was red on white background.
I love the reporting features and how it keeps track of results and missed questions by group or by question.

Excellent Practice Exam Functionality!
I used the Tech and General versions and passed. Now studying for Extra. Practice exams are great because instant feedback helps avoid memorizing wrong answers by repeating the same errors.
Absolutely excellent study aid...
This is a no brained download if you’re trying to get a HAM extra license. Very well done. The only thing I wish was different is that in the recommended questions area, selecting the question does nothing. It would be very helpful to have it open up the question instead of having to navigate back and open up the question elsewhere. Great job though - this would be a solid BUY if it was a paid app!

Steals clipboard data
The app is very helpful for learning the exam material, but the application steals data from your phones clipboard. This is a huge privacy violation. The question is, did the developer do this on purpose or is it just a side effect of including the Ad network?

That was a result of the AdMob advertising SDK. It has since been resolved.

New Question Pool 7/1/20 this app expired 6/30/20
UPDATE... I was concerned when the app didn’t switch to the new question pool on 7/1/20 but after a few days or maybe a week it did. I began using it for practice. I’ve used all three license class apps now. Passed the Tech at the end of February, the General in Mid-March and because of Covid-19, the June testing session was cancelled. In mid-September I passed the Extra. Thanks to HRE Ham Radio Exam!!!

Invaluable Tool
This app helped me pass the Extra Class exam on the first try. I went through all the section quizzes and took a bunch of sample exams. The app was easy to use.
If you haven’t studied the material, this app probably won’t help much as it is designed to test you on the material. Having said that, since all of the exam questions are published, you can use this tool to memorize the answers for the sections you may not know.
