Great Context to Prep and Pass
This course via a well-designed and really easy to use app provided great concept-context, and provided multiple ways to retain all the right exam questions.
Great App/UI, by AI Slop!
This app has been fantastic for learning the wide world of radios, but with the new iterations they have gone to AI Slop for all of the graphics.

I posted a review with the only issue I had with the app, and they were able to fix it and get me back to learning. So not only is it a fantastic app for learning ham and preparing for the tests, but the devs are great with support and problem solving!

Awesome study tool
I already had my technician ticket, which I barely passed about 10 years ago after studying the arrl book. I decided kind of on a whim to go get my general. Got this app, studied for 2 days, found a test session and passed the exam no problem! If you have a hard time learning from a book this might be the thing for you!

I haven’t completed the technician course and have not taken the exam yet so I cannot comment regarding that. I used to be licensed 15yrs ago and let it lapse.
Decided to try this to brush up on the details.
The content and delivery are very nicely done. 5 stars assuming that it covers what is expected.
Why 2 stars? - Incorrect information. Two of the illustrations that I have seen so far are wrong. the first one in the chapter about powering equipment has an illustration that is totally incorrect, the one that shows the car battery and ham radio.
The next one is electrical concepts the first one that has the battery, this illustration is also wrong.
For those who have access you can paste the illustration in any AI like Gemini and they will point it out.
Maybe it doesn’t matter to pass the exam but learning wise this is not correct.
I was so happy with the whole course until I saw these two illustrations and now I feel I have to look at comparable information and double check everything :(
I hope you review everything and fix it.

Great app! Makes tests simple
Thanks from a new Amateur Extra! I took my Technician, General, and now my Extra exam. Clear easy to follow lessons and easy to use practice tests. Ham Radio Prep was my go-to for all them. Excellent app! Highly recommend!
Excellent, it works!
I always wanted a cool hobby, and since leaving the army I haven’t spent much time on the air. I wanted to get back into being an operator. This program did just that. Within only a few weeks I took my first 4 practice test and passed them all. That night my wife convinced me to log online and test remotely through ARRP. I passed with a 96%

Needs work
The videos are to long with to much information, this makes it very difficult for any knowledge to actually stick. It just needs improvements made on length of videos and more quizzes (Shorter videos on one topic with a quiz instead of 5 topics on the same quiz) explanations for why your answer is wrong often dont help much to learning and just frustrate you after missing the same question with one different word in each answer. Idk it’s just not for me.

Very good material presented in a very misleading way
Worked my way through the first three lessons and test and was really enjoying and benefiting from the material. I tried to move to less than four and you’re locked out unless you pay $35. Classic click bait tactic. Very disappointing. It tells you you can continue to use the app for free, but that is nothing more than taking sample exams. This kind of business tactic is a no go for honest folks.

Got it!!!
I was struggling with reading and interpreting the study manual. My sister suggested I try Ham Radio Prep. I’m very tight on money and was leery to try it but I was needing help so I gave it a try. I’m sooo glad I did. It was easy to follow and I could listen to it anywhere. It made studying for the test much easier. The best part after going through the entire Technician program was taking the practice tests over and over again until I was getting everything right. Each test was a little different so they eventually covered everything. I could also take mini tests of the questions I was answering incorrectly. Wow! That made all the difference. I passed the actual test with 100% correct! I highly recommend this program.

Trust This Study Prep!
I had been a Tech level Ham for over ten years but had not been involved much recently. I took (and failed) the General test just to see what the testing process was like.
I downloaded the Ham Radio Prep course and enjoyed the adult learning methods that they use to reinforce various learning styles. Around 22 days later I took the General level test again and passed!
Try it: use all the lesson quizzes, practice tests and the (tailored to you) problem question sections. You WILL have success.

A Great Option
Can’t say enough about the course and the results. The adult learning model/s they use are effective and easy. It took me around 22 days from start to “test ready” using this program. It seemed almost too slick but when I practiced taking occasional test on other on-line practice sessions, the results were great. Got my General license and am very appreciative. Thanks folks.

Such an excellent app! I learned everything and passed the technician exam within 6 days!
I love the app. It was so easy to download the lessons and learn on the go during my commute or whenever I had some down time and didn’t have my laptop. The format of having a video, text, and then questions following, really helped me learn the concepts and be able to identify the correct answers. I appreciate how if you do practice tests on the app, it lets you know right away if you got the question right or not. On the desktop version, you’ll only find out if you got questions wrong at the end of the practice exam. So, the app is even better than the website version!!

In two weeks I took the three levels and passed first time
In two weeks I took the three levels and passed first time on each, the course materials are in three blocks per topic. A video, 9 mins long on average and excellently presented by Jim. No gotchas or hidden meanings just clarity and purpose for each topic. I have no algebra skills, pretty poor at math in general and yet comfortably passed. Then after the video is a short reading passage then mock tests. You will recognise the correct answers, the reason is you understand the meaning, it's not parrot memory, that's not easy with a pool of 600 questions just for the extra test. It's concept recognition, what do capacitors do and why does series and parallel matter, what flows first. The course is so well written and professional and concisely presented that you will quickly understand the meaning.

Pass the general test in under a month. Had to take a week off to travel. I got 100% on the test. This is the best way to prepare for the test.
Great App
Don’t get my wrong this is a great app. However it would be much better if all the features were available on App. Example: the amateur classes you can take but not the other classes like the ham guide and ARES or whatever it’s called.
Worth every penny
I really enjoyed the format of the videos that match the written information on each lesson. I can listen to it in the car and then I can read it to really cement it in. The questions all match the question pool and the web interface is even better than the app.
They generously provided me with a scholarship to get my technician and general licenses which I got last month on the first try, exactly as advertised. The application process for the scholarship was very simple. I think it was 10 minutes from when I first clicked apply to when I received notice that I was approved for the scholarship. Your mileage may vary, but they were super quick with me.
All in all, I highly recommend this course. I recommend it to anybody talking their licensure exams. If you follow the lessons and take notes and take it seriously, you’ll definitely pass on the first try, just like the advertise.
