Just got 100% on my third practice test.
This app is kinda addictive. Practice mode seems to show you wrong or “I don’t know” questions again just the right amount of time. Perhaps because I’ve done DuoLingo every night for years, it’s easy to drill every day, and I like that I can do a few questions whenever I’m bored or waiting.
My only wish list item is to allow drawings in the popup help/hints that appear when you answer “I don’t know”. A diagram would be useful in some places.
But I am really digging feeling like I know the material, even if I don’t always understand it!

This is what you need
The question pool system works by going back to questions you miss and the option to read an explanation. Study the test questions.
worked great
I wish they made tests for other industries. got my tech and general in one shot studying lightly for two months
Passed All 3
I passed all 3 exams in less than 3 weeks using nothing but this app. It takes a lot of time and dedication, but this tool is all you need to become licensed as Technician, General, or Amateur Extra. Best $5 I could have spent.
Hamstudy is the best tool
Hamstudy has been the best tool for me. I got my tech license a little while ago, and I am about to get my general all thanks to hamstudy. The best tool by far
Wonderful app for Ham Licensing
I used this app to prepare for all three of the exams. Technician to Amateur Extra. The structure and format really help to get your mind into the game. Study hard with it and it will pay off. Passed all three of my exams in the 90th percentile with no problem. A big reason was this great study app. You have to put in the work but if you do you will pass your ham exam and probably comfortably at that! 73’s

Very convenient
The app is easy to use, convenient and really help to identify where you need to focus your studying efforts. There are other options but HamStudy is the best and least expensive. Best way to prepare for the ham tests.
Great test prep
Love this app! So user friendly.
Perfect Study Tool
I went from no license to amateur extra in less than a month thanks mostly in part to this great app.
4 weeks to Extra
I used Ham Study to get my Technician and General licenses in late 2024. Was an easy task because I already had a basic understanding of what was covered in the exams. Extra was a bit out of my comfort zone. Combined with the Fast Track study series and Ham Study (which work well together) I was able to prep in my spare time in 4 weeks for my Extra exam and passed with 49/50. Just download it and use it. It works.

Great app
This is a great app to add to your study routine. I highly recommend it and is well worth the $4. I use it in conjunction with Ham Radio Prep and having both has helped increase my scores.
Simple and well designed.
Does what you need it to do without the nonsense other apps put in. I had to file a support ticket because of a minor bug and it was fixed within days. Great app and great service for a fair price.
Passed General and Extra back to back on the first try thanks to this app.

Good
Good app. I got 100 on my technician exam. It lets you filter specific parts in each subsection and there’s way more control in choosing what questions you want. Practice exams are great and there’s an algorithm to push out questions you do weaker on. Though, the explanations are broken on the app compared to the website; the markdown does not display properly

No Help at All
Beside from not crashing and having a cohesive color scheme, this app does nothing to help one study for the test. There’s no units corresponding with chapters, nothing to actually aid other than practice exams. Clearly no actual teachers were involved with it’s development
Great Study tool!
This is a very helpful study tool!
You can do this!
At 67yo I decided to get my HAM license. College dropout with little engineering background or experience other than Life. Use the Study feature and read all the explanations. I also got the Book ( I recommend the Large Print version ) on Amazon. Within a few weeks I was consistently scoring 100% on the practice exams.

Amateur test
Absolutely a fantastic way to study. I knew some information but after using this app for a while I am pretty sure of a great result
The best tool
I used hamstudy extensively when studying for all 3 classes of exams. Couldn’t have done it without this app.
Excellent Study Resource
I bought the Gordon West study guide for technicians license and read that and used the app to study as I went along. The ability to sort the questions based on which study guide you are using is awesome! Once I finished the book and got to 99% apptitude with the app in study mode I then switched to practice tests in the app until I got consistently 95% or higher. I easily passed the actual exam and have now moved on to studying for my general license. The app makes studying so easy. It continues to give you questions you answered incorrectly until you get them right.
