He brings shame to Ham community
Response from developer
Thank you for your feedback on the macOS version of Hamtester General. I just rebuild the app and ran it locally on my macOS and iOS devices and did not get the expired message with the 3.1.0 version. The question pool for this version is from 07/01/2023-06/30/2027. As of this response the date I ran the apps locally, is 08/19/2025. There have been no other support issues from users, stating that this version is out of date since the current question pools went into effect on 07/01/2023, when this app version went into distribution. If you are running a version previous to 3.1.0, please update your version it is free. The iOS and macOS Catalyst versions share the same code and resources. The iOS version has been in the store since 2018 without any support issues. All updates with the new question pools have been a free upgrade. The macOS version was introduced when Apple introduced Catalyst, with all updates free also. The question pools are distributed by ARRL and are revised every 4 years. The same process concerning ARRL question pools is applied to all the other classes, Technician and Extra, as well as all app updates are free. I take Amateur Radio seriously since the early days in the 1960’s and as an Amateur Extra, as well as a VE with over 150 VE sessions helping aspiring students acquire their licenses. I also am registered with my county as a weather spotter, to report any dangerous weather that would be approaching. If you are still having issues, feel free to send screenshots of your macOS application running, to the support contact listed online, including the date of your purchase, if available.
