About

The Honzō Zufu is a 92-volume botanical encyclopedia painted by Iwasaki Kan'en in late Edo-period Japan. Hana-awase is a memory game played with its hand-colored flowers. HOW TO PLAY - Turn over two cards. If they show the same plant, they match - Each card you turn over shows the picture and the plant's name - The board starts at 2×2 and grows to 6×6 as you clear stages - Missing a card you have already seen counts as a miss. Ten misses in a stage and the run is over - See how many stages you can clear in a row COLLECTION - Every plant you turn over goes into your collection - The more you match a plant, the higher its rank: bronze, silver, then gold - Open the original page of the Honzō Zufu from the collection - Can you get every plant to gold? INCLUDES - 105 plants from the Honzō Zufu, with more to come - Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified), Thai and Vietnamese Illustrations: Honzō Zufu, National Diet Library Digital Collections, Japan (public domain)
