Hanalei River Gauge
Seems to kick off-line during weather events. We are in a Flash Flood Warning right now and the app has not updated for 1 1/2 hours. Not reliable 😩

Hi Sue, thanks for reporting our app having a data issue. Please understand that we rely on the USGS data feed to get the current river gauge reading. I reviewed the USGS data from April 1st and there was a time span of about 2 hours when they weren't reporting updates. This is usually an equipment or communication issue on the USGS side of things. Please let us know if you have any other issues.
App displays wrong gauge?
The app displays USGS gauge 16103000, which is somewhat upstream from the Hanalei bridge. If the intention is to monitor conditions at the bridge, that gauge is 16104200.
This app is a good beginning, but it would be far more useful if it also displayed data from other sources, such as HDOT road closure notices, NOAA flood warnings, etc.
