It just goes off at random no matter what you are pointing to, if you set the sensitivity high enough it will beep.

I’m so thankful I downloaded this app, I dropped one of my Bluetooth earbuds into this grassy area, could not find it for 30 minutes straight, downloaded this and found it in the next 30 seconds

This app does nothing other than bleeping at absolutely everything. No change at all with any form of metal. If I could have, I wouldn’t have even given it 1 star. Rubbish!!

They don’t work no sound. They don’t even detect metal.
Metal detector
It’s interesting. It works but not with all kinds of metal. For example app can’t find 2 and 20 pence, but easily reacts on 1, 10 pence coins and 1 pound... that’s why I gave 4 stars)

Works if placed against metal
This works to detect metal- but metal HAS to be directly touching against the phone, making it completely useless to actually finding metal, because you have to already know where something is and be right on top of it! If set sensitivity higher you would think it would mean it would locate metal at a further distance- but that distance increases to 2” from the phone with NOTHING in between the phone and metal item. And of sensitivity is turned all the way up the app just beeps/vibrates constantly, even with the phone pointed up at the sky and no metallic objects around anywhere at all! So go ahead and get this app if you want to use it to locate metal items that you’re already looking at and right on top of, which means you can already see it anyway. But do not hope to actually be able to use it to locate lost items.

It works!
This app saved me from having to rent a metal detector. It works very well. I could have stayed with the free version but decided to purchase it to support developer.

Tested it against a bath handle and it work amazingly I don’t suggest this app if you want to find metal 16-24m deep as it will stay vibrating if the metal is strong.my bath handle was my berry strong metal so it only detected it about 7mm away
