Hi! The app provides several how-to pages on first startup, and you can access these anytime by selecting the "How to use this app" menu item. Choose the ebook you'd like to try (WRITE NOW is the ebook for adults) and that places it in "My Bookshelf". From there, touch the ebook cover to view, navigate and write in it with your palm-rejections stylus. Please reach out to appsupport@handwritingsuccess.com for app support.

We understand that you are asking for free content, and we thank you for this feedback. Please note that there is no cost to download the App and try the samples. The pricing model for the in-app purchase is similar to iBooks, but with the Handwriting Success you can actually write directly in the handwriting instruction ebook. These ebooks now start at $2.99 USD per month or $8.99 per year.

We hope you will reach out to appsupport@handwritingsuccess.com with your concerns prior to posting a review. We have plans to make the trial/purchase scenario clearer in the upcoming update. Misleading
Edit: they messaged me to say that the app description says that there will be purchases. They mentioned free samples and that the app has books for purchase or subscription, doesn’t say the price at all in description and I have screenshots to prove it. Again, as a consumer I’d rather see the full cost because it’s easier to compare and make an informed purchase. I didn’t say it wasn’t a good deal just that I don’t want to see the prices after downloading your app.

Please note the app description says, "Ebooks are now available via in-app purchase or subscription. Free samples allow you to try before you buy." The ebook content starts at $8.99, and the price is clearly marked in the app. We consider it an advantage to be able to download the app for free to try it. We will endeavor to make this trial opportunity clearer in our next update. Like you, we also wish that Apple would provide a way for us to show the price in the App Description and the App photos for each of the 150 countries in which the App sells, but currently there is no practical method to do this. I never thought that my handwriting would actually improve. I'm ecstatic:)
I started with the adult book Write Now. Which was great but then l got book A for 5 to 6 years old. At least for me starting from there is the best method of practicing. Tracing the letters quietly is like Meditation.
Don't miss registering on their website and watching a video of one of their workshop . Great tips and you can follow along with their adult book on the app Write Now. I'm so glad I bought the app..

Thank you for trying the app! We are sorry that it was not what you expected. The app does indeed teach cursive writing in many of the ebooks. To explain: The word "cursive" related to writing means that it is flowing with some or all letters joined. This app teaches the italic style of handwriting, which has both print and cursive forms, as many other styles of handwriting do. The benefit of italic handwriting is that you can join the print letters you learn in order to write in cursive. You are correct that this app does not teach looped cursive writing where the cursive form has different letterforms than the print form.
Great Product! Great Service!
I purchased this for my daughter as she is learning how to write. If you didn’t know, not all schools cover this as heavily anymore. She has sloppy handwriting (which is normal) but we wanted to improve it.
This has been a great purchase that has helped her handwriting as it does a gradual release of how to write correctly!
She also loves it and asks to use it which I really appreciate! (Every kid is different though..)
There service is also AMAZING!! I was having some issues and they responded right away with a solution and were able to get us up and going quickly!!

Disclaimer: My daughter does not have special needs. You should evaluate the program based on your individual child needs.

Thank you for trying the app! We're glad you enjoy and use the Getty-Dubay handwriting books. Unlike with print, these ebooks can be enlarged on the screen using the pinch-zoom gesture. Your concern about voiceover functionality is well taken and we will endeavor to add that to a future update. You may request refunds directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
