About

Hangaebi is available in Korean and English. In both languages, every number cites its source or shows its formula. Hangaebi is a smoking log: log each cigarette with a single tap and watch the numbers as you cut down. • Log from the Home Screen widget without opening the app • Today’s cigarettes, money spent, and estimated life lost at a glance • A 13-stage recovery timeline since your last cigarette (World Health Organization, UK NHS, and American Cancer Society materials) • Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly stats, plus comparisons with your goal and with the same time yesterday • Chain smoking logs (within 20 minutes of the previous cigarette) and what happens in your body at that moment • Cigarettes smoked less than usual, money saved, and 57 achievements • Lock Screen widgets, the 5-minute challenge, and passcode lock Every number shows its source or formula. Estimated life lost is a statistical estimate calculated from the average per-cigarette value in a University College London study (published in the journal Addiction, 2024); it does not diagnose or predict any individual’s health. Your records are stored on your device. If you sign in with Apple, they are also saved to your account so you can continue on another device. Signing in is optional, and the app uses no ads or tracking tools. If cutting down on your own is hard, the Korea Quitline 1544-9030 (free, in Korea) can help.

What's New in Hangaebi

0.5.22

October 1, 2026

• Your iPhone now gives a light tap when you log a cigarette. • Today's count turns red once you pass your daily limit. • Erasing everything now asks you to type a confirmation number. • The log list is tidier — only widget entries carry a badge. • Long explanations on the Sources screen are now broken into a list. Fixed • The app could hang on the launch screen when storage could not be opened. • Records could come back or disappear during a full erase or a sync. • The icon badge and widgets still showed your count after turning App Lock on. • A 5-minute challenge finished outside the app was not counted. • The weekly report could say you cut down when you had not. • Statistics shifted to an older window when your logs went back many years.
