About

Help your child look more closely at the words they read. Hanja Forest introduces Korean hanja through pictures, guided writing, collectible cards and animal companions. Learning content and narration are in Korean. A CLUE INSIDE A WORD In Korean, 수온 (水溫) means water temperature and 체온 (體溫) means body temperature. The shared character 溫 offers a clue to how the words are related. This is an example for families to explore together, not a promise that every example is a dedicated lesson. Hanja Forest connects characters with examples, everyday compounds, reflective vocabulary, idioms and classic stories. READING IN THE AGE OF AI Children still need to understand words and examine the reasons behind an answer. Exploring word meanings is one part of that work. Use hanja learning alongside books and conversation. SEE, THINK AND WRITE Explore illustrated meanings and visual quizzes, including drag interactions. Follow stroke-order guides, write the characters and collect learned cards. LEARNING THAT LEADS TO PLAY Travel through forest missions with animal companions and use collected cards in battles. In writing battles, tracing a character casts a skill. Practice alone or battle a friend on supported devices with a compatible connection. PRACTICE ON PAPER Choose several characters and print a worksheet with stroke-order steps. Write on paper, scan the sheet and collect cards for rows that pass OCR scoring. Color, black-and-white and ink-saving modes are available. A photo does not verify the order in which strokes were written. A TIME LIMIT SET BY PARENTS Set a learning timer, see the remaining time and lock the app screen when time runs out. Parents can review each child's learning records and items to revisit. A CLEAR LEARNING PATH Study 515 unique characters drawn from two Korean hanja exam lists, from level 8 through level 5, plus 78 linked vocabulary and idiom entries. Each organization's assigned range stays separate. In-app level challenges are practice, not official examinations or past papers. Core hanja learning, writing, card collection and battles are currently free. Core study works without signing in, with child records saved on the device. Optional backup, online features and some initial setup require an internet connection. Any subscription from an earlier version must be managed separately in the relevant store. Hanja Forest is a vocabulary-learning tool. It does not guarantee particular reading outcomes or school grades. The original adventure is inspired by Christian themes of creation, neighborly love, hope and restoration. Learning scores and rewards do not measure a child’s faith.
