Hanzi Grove helps heritage Chinese learners build a steady foundation in simplified Chinese. Start free with 60 common characters across three everyday themes and five bilingual stories. Daily missions combine listening, character recognition, and pinyin matching, while local progress adapts the next set of questions. An optional Hanzi Grove membership unlocks the complete learning path: 300 characters across 15 themes, all 21 stories, future full-library content, and up to three learner profiles on one device. Each story can show pinyin and an English meaning, with system Mandarin read-aloud available at any time. The Progress area shows characters mastered, practice accuracy, weekly activity, stories completed, and skills worth revisiting. Hanzi Grove requires no account. Learning progress stays on the device. The app contains no ads, analytics, social features, or third-party tracking SDKs. Subscriptions are available monthly or yearly and renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account.
