Doesn’t recognise my cat
Thinks he’s a Siberian Husky
Amazing
This is a very cool app because I can now know how my cat is feeling and especially because it isn’t like those scam apps that just say that they know what your pets are SAYING like bruh…
And I got to learn about this app because at school we have these kids news papers and I was reading about this

Gets my dog right every time - happy border collie!!! 😀
Not ready - questionable findings
Tried the app out after the app developer sent me a link. Tried a photo of my dog - a well-known and distinctive breed at that. It recognized it as 3 completely different and dissimilar breeds each time.
Not sure how much one can believe the mood indicators given the bad results on breed identification (on which several other apps do a great job).

Great
Lots of fun and pretty accurate
So interesting!
I have shared this app with my housemates (and others) and we’ve been analysing pictures of our little cat. It’s funny to see she’s neutral most of the time, but when she’s playing it comes up as a little bit happy, a little bit unsettled, a bit neutral, which I think is her mood in that situation exactly.

Love it
Great App!! 🙂🙂🙂
Really cool
I think this is a great demonstration, and I think it’s great how accessible and simple the interface is. This is a really fun app to use, and I think it paints AI in a positive, fun picture.
However, I think that the prediction for emotion is quite biased - it predicts happy and neutral far too often, but I think it probably resembles the training set distribution (I couldn’t find that many sad photos of my dog, anyway).

Please explain how this works!?
Mood seems accurate - how?!
Please add Australian Silky Terrier 😊

Amazing and Funny!
I did want to try out this app but I was also a little nervous because my cat always looks grumpy, turns out he is just unsettled which is better than Angry so it was a lot of fun!
Breed
My dog has been named three different breeds over time. Perhaps skip the breed.
Response from developer
Please try the new version- result should be much better, we have over 60 breeds now!
Not good
This app needs to add rabbits
Inaccurate, but a great idea
I hope it improves with time as it’s such a cool idea.
Unfortunately, my cat came back as ‘unsettled’ or ‘sad’ in pretty much every photo, even photos where he is sleeping or very happy.

Lots of fun
Downloaded this after reading about it in the CHILDmags email I get. It’s great! Doesn’t have my dog breed (Dalmatian) but picked English Setter which is definitely the closest breed of the ones available. Going to enjoy using this and loved reading about how it works and was created! Keep going with this guys - it’s great. Agree would be great to have a feedback feature in the app itself. I wonder if the AI learns more the the more photos we take?

Funny but hopeless
It was worth a laugh but it thought my Dalmatian was a basset hound and no water what he was doing it said he was 100% neutral.
Inaccurate
When I was taking a photo of my Purebred Dachshund it said it was a Labrador Retriever, and it said my American Bulldog (that was sleeping) was an unsettled Labrador Retriever.
Hell hath no fury than an angry unsettled pug
I’m glad La Pug doesn’t have the temperament prescribed to her by this app otherwise my life (and lockdown) would be unbearable...
Good for a laugh. My mission (impossible) is to try and get a photo of her that is “happy”...

No Australian dog breeds despite being developed at Melbourne Uni?
My Kelpie/Koolie cross is labelled a French bulldog, miniature pinscher or Scottish terrier. Why are there no Australian breeds in your breed database, when this was developed in Australia? Seems like a no brainer.... 🤷🏽♀️
Disappointing
The app only has a few breeds of dogs it can identify, excluding very common breeds. I didn’t expect it to accurately identify the pets feelings (which it doesnt) but it cant even identify dogs from the top 20 dog breeds.
Useless app
It showed my smiling whippet as “unsettled” chihuahua.
