Echo dungeon

Please fix bug with add at echo dungeon can’t receive rewards

Response from developer

Some regions (including Russia) may have limited or blocked access to ads due to external restrictions from the ad provider. Because of this, ads may not load or reward properly. This isn’t a bug with the game, and it’s not something I can control or override. If ads are available, the “Remove Ads” purchase allows you to receive rewards without watching ads. However, availability of purchases may also vary by region.

Good Until Recent Ad Update

Fun game with great depth. Unfortunately the latest update made watching ads a requirement to do daily battle missions. Pretty sad as I have already spent $10 on the game for the pass and now I would have to still watch an ad every day if I want to do all the daily missions.

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback and for supporting the game with the Adventure Pass. The daily mission is tied to claiming the free Echo Dungeon challenge token, which is intended as an optional bonus rather than required progression. I've tried to keep ad-based rewards limited and non-intrusive, while ensuring all core content remains accessible without them.

Opinion of a non-gamer

As a non-gamer who usually finds mobile apps overwhelming, Harpagia is a great fit for me. It strikes a balance of consistently rewarding game play but refreshingly lacks the addictive gimmicks that would normally lead me to burn out on it. It’s a perfect game to play at your leisure without demanding constant attention.

Thank you for the thoughtful review! This is actually one of the core goals I had when designing Harpagia. I wanted to create a game that rewards long-term progress without demanding constant attention or relying on aggressive engagement tactics. I'm glad it's been a good fit for your playstyle, and I appreciate the support!

Heavy in game purchases required

$140 to $240 of required in game purchases to unlock the charms and auracle.

Charms are really not feasible to get via “luck “. Theres one that doubles all xp. Without it you’re playing the game at half speed. Requires a school score of 15. Over 200 or so tedious minigames the max possible score is 9-11 in most games. 13 was possible in only 2-3 games. Its not skill its luck (well under 1% of games) if the score is even possible.

Expect many many hours in tedious mini games for luck or to have to spend $200 to even play the game as designed.

Begging??

Why is the method for grinding gold Begging? Can’t we have honest employment? Questing/Adventuring? Anything, that isn’t just being a freeloader on society?

Great game

Loving this game, by far one of the best games of this style I have played.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! I'm glad you're enjoying the variety of activities, minigames, and offline progression. I also agree that having long-term goals makes achievements feel more meaningful. Good luck the minigame challenges!

My go to idle game

Solo dev very much in touch with players via discord and the community is very friendly.

Optimized & Has Depth

Incredibly well optimized, I've had the game open for nearly an hour and lost only 2% battery. Great depth in each skill, great variety of tasks, always have things to do. Each grind feels like it has weight & the correct balance of rarity & abundance. With how much info can be presented on one page, i'm impressed on how concise & digestible it is. Could recommend this to anyone from a beginner to a completionist.

A few social features down the road like user profiles/'players in this area:' & I'd consider this one of the best mobile idle 'MMO's by far!

Top notch idle

Absolutely a blast with all the different skills and mini games. Not needed to pay to win. You can unlock so much by playing active.

Idle RPG

I tried this out a few weeks ago and It keeps drawing me back in. Fun progression and flair definitely worth checking out. Lots of frequent updates and good content. The endgame progression is very satisfying

Обновление убрали офлайн доход

После обновление , после этого больше не работает офлайн доход! Пофиксите

Thank you for the review. Offline progression is a core part of Harpagia and was not removed. If you're still experiencing this issue, please use the in-game Support option and include your user ID along with any details that may help reproduce the problem.

Pretty good, needs balancing

Overall pretty enjoyable. It needs to be rebalanced across the board. Zen is extremely difficult to get to auto play which is very frustrating. You get through the initial monsters very very quickly and then it’s a slow burn from there, probably to get you to buy gems or something. Various things need to be rebalanced.. like buying the tickets for imbibing vs just guessing at 99%. Should also be able to do combat offline to some capacity that’s not a dummy. Trading doesn’t really make much sense not sure what that’s for. Needs a lot more variation in equipment as well, you basically get to the second from the best tier in a day or two and never really upgrade again from there. $99 packages are absolutely insane as well.. hopefully they continue to expand and improve on the game as it has potential but I’m not sure if there’s really the ability to play for more than a week or two at the moment.

Thank you for the review! The initial tiers are to get you to understand the game mechanics, and the best gear come from the bosses which you won't be able to unlock until much later on. There's more than 1 year of content so you may not have unlocked all the different content yet. If you would like any tips or understanding how trading works, feel free to jump into our Discord! We have tons of members who can help out with progression. Thank you for trying out Harpagia!

Fun enough for a little while

Pretty enjoyable incremental up until you clear the ‘standard’ enemies.

Seems to have been developed with the mindset that playtime is the only metric that matters putting aside whether what the player is expected to do is clearly communicated or remotely fun.

Response from developer

Sorry to hear your frustration with the game! It should only take a couple days to clear the standard enemies, but once you reach the superior tier of enemies, you are expected to grind other things other than only combat. Once you face more difficult enemies, you'll need to level up all your other skills and items in order to continue progressing. Regardless, thank you for trying out the game!

Good idle but prizes….

I really enjoy playing games like this and I really enjoy playing this in specific, but the amount you have to pay for the aura boost and charm boxes are too high. To be fair you can unlock most of the charms by playing the game. Still… gem prizes and aura boost is way too expensive. It’s not even an option for supporting the game. More expensive than a triple A game.

It’s pretty fun but I’m always broke tbh

All of it is fun but my only bad thing is that I just lose money way to fast like one second I’m a billionaire the next I’m more broke than sand which isn’t a bad thing mind you but what is a bad thing is how slow it takes to get money back

Response from developer

Thank you for the review! I would recommend getting the beggar to boost your income massively, and try to unlock some charms, increase your begging level, upgrading some gem upgrades for begging, etc. There are tons of upgrades you can choose from, and eventually you will have trillions of gold. Hope you enjoy the game!

Engaging at first and then completely spoils the experience

At first it looks like a fun variation of Melvor, but then it starts to look more like a predatory toxic sibling 1. To make meaningful progress, you have to keep the app open 2. The progression curve is very fast in the beginning and gets extremely slow in the mid game. So at some point you end up just need to keep your phone on for hours at a time just to make a dent in your progress. Offline progression is very meaningless at that point 3. Monetization. - There are short auras you can get by watching adds, and the premium purchase does not remove them. It’s like paying for higher tier of Netflix and still having ads. - the game heavily incentivizes using gems (the premium currency). Do you want to keep the app open and click the same button for an hour, or do you just want to use two gems? While you get a lot of gems in the beginning, as your progress slows down, you barely get any. 4. Some mechanics just don’t make sense to me. Like auto-resurrection - once you unlock it, it’s so prohibitively expensive, that one use would cost hours of progress - and that’s exactly what happened to me once I accidentally used it. Sure, there are upgrades that eventually would make it more affordable, but why even have it in the beginning that it punishes you for using it? I seriously considered getting premium in the beginning just to support the dev, but having played a bit more it almost feels disrespectful to self to pay for something that doesn’t respect you

Hey there! To answer your comments: 1. There has been a massive buff to the offline progression recently, so feel free to update your app to the latest version (1.49.1). You no longer need to keep your phone on to have the same online progression. 2. The progress slows down, but I wouldn't say it's extremely slow. Once you enter the midgame, there are lots more different types of upgrades that you can upgrade, like sigils, additional MP boosts, gem upgrades, farming pets, blessings, achievements, etc. All these will help increase your progression but you will need to unlock more in order to progress faster. 3. You earn many more gems once you enter the late game. During the mid game, gem progression slows down because you earn fewer levels, but once you increase your luck level, unlock some charms, and the enhanced gem trigger upgrade, you will earn many gems per day, and purchasing gems is never required. 95% of our players are purely F2P. Furthermore, if you choose to purchase premium and support the game, you can access trading and can sell items to other players for Gems. This is a way of farming items for other players to earn gems for yourself! 4. Perks like auto resurrection are expensive at first, but you are supposed to upgrade the MP upgrades further. You don't need to use the perk right away, you can unlock the upgrades over time. The game has been balanced to respect your time and support F2P players well, as evidenced by our massive F2P community. I hope that these can resolve any of your concerns, and keep in mind that Harpagia is a grindy game. You shouldn't expect to have all the upgrades unlocked within your first few weeks, or even your first few months. Hope you enjoyed the game otherwise!
