Leaves a lot to be desired
Security aside, I was surprised at the features that are missing. No ability to create a CD (or similar investment account) from savings on the fly. Enabling mobile check deposits requires approval that doesn’t go through for days on end (still waiting for mine after agreeing to the form). No easy way to transfer money to or from other banks; I basically have to write a check or rely on a 3rd party like Venmo or Apple Pay. As a new customer, that’s pretty frustrating. Also, entering the Bill Pay tab breaks navigation by making all the other tabs at the bottom disappear for some inexplicable reason.
Logging in is generally slow, even on good wifi. The Shortcuts menu is completely useless - you have to open the right side hamburger menu to get to it, and all it does is just replicate everything in that menu but as a tile grid (Windows 8 was never in style guys, come on). Push notifications don’t work either; the toggle for it in the settings is grayed out and the app never prompts me to allow notifications. There’s no “stop check” button in the event I need to cancel a check from going through, which to me is like not owning a fire extinguisher. It’s not something you care about very often, but when you do need it, it really needs to work. And the cherry on top, that goofy FDIC banner at the top of most (but not all) tabs in the app.
All in all, I’m not impressed. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is I like the level of detail presented when viewing individual accounts, and the card control settings give me fine tuned control over exactly how my debit card gets used
