The best app ever

Omission

Hat seems good but doesn’t seem to allow the artist to enter what instruments he or she plays. That seems like a major omission.

BEWARE

I was inboxed on Instagram by the app profile there. It sounded cool and interesting. But after being on the app and hoping for genuine connection, on two separate times in one week, people tried to scam me for my bank info. This is not a U.S. based app and I didn’t think that mattered because I want to connect with artists all around the world. But this ain’t it. So just know there’s a high chance either the app developers are scammers or they allow a lot of scammers on their app. Either way, it’s your choice. I wouldn’t waste my time or energy on this app. People are using AI for all kinds of things. Be warned.

Response from developer

Hi, thank you for taking the time to warn others, and we're sorry this happened to you. Nobody should be asked for bank details on HAT, and that's never acceptable. We take the safety of our community very seriously. Every report is investigated, and when we confirm a scam or fraudulent behavior we remove the profile from the platform. HAT will never ask you for banking or payment information through a chat, and we recommend never sharing it with other users. If you can, please write to us at ciao@hatmusic.it with the usernames of the accounts that contacted you, so we can review them right away. Thank you for helping us keep HAT a safe place for artists to connect. The HAT Team
