Super helpful—especially if you have ADHD!
This is an incredibly fun way of helping me to stay focused, and prevent me from compulsively checking my phone when I’m completing boring tasks. As someone with ADHD, this has been invaluable! Not only do I use it to prevent me from checking my phone while completing tedious tasks, but as a way to help me race against the clock. I set the timer in the app that I need to focus for before my alien hatches, and then challenge myself to complete the task before my time runs out. This turns the tedious task into a game, and has helped me to complete tedious tasks in less than half the time it would take for me to complete them if I didn’t have this app! The baby aliens are absolutely adorable, and I love making a game out of collecting all of the different aliens! This game is not only a great way of preventing you from compulsively checking your phone, but is also an amazing time saver and productivity tool, because it not only prevents you from compulsively checking your phone, but it also helps you get twice as much done with your day than you otherwise would by giving you a fun goal to reach (collecting the alien) by racing against the clock. This an awesome app for anyone, but especially for someone like me who has ADHD, this app has been invaluable! Highly recommended!

I used to play this game a lot with my family. I remember playing it when there was a leaderboard and you had points for how many creatures you hatched. The developer seemed genuine and would communicate with their users. I don't know what changed, whether the app was sold or the developer gave into corporate greed, but suddenly the leaderboards were gone and my scores/inventory was reset. I was willing to give it a chance and really tried but noticed that, even when hatching multiple 2 hour eggs, I wouldn't get more than the 3 star rarity (the purple creatures). I tried for months but continued to only get purple animals. I then realized that there was now a subscription option. As soon as that realization struck, I started to distance myself from the game and eventually dropped it. I'm only writing this because I finally deleted it off of my phone after many more months of simply looking at an app that once was, an app with potential. Thank you for the memories, but I wish it didn't come to this :/

I love hatch!!!! It helped me so much with helping me to focus on my studies, homework and piano practises. It truly motivates me to work hard until the timer runs out. And best of all at the end you get to his adorable creature and there’s a whole lot to collect. PLEASE DOWNLOAD THIS
Lowkey overrated
Don’t get me wrong, I like the app structure. I like how it’s a hatching game and how longer sessions give you rarer pets… but I hate the other features. First, no breaks. I get that some people might ask, well why can’t I just use the focus timer as a break? For me, it doesn’t provide the same satisfaction because I get a egg as a reward while the break IS supposed to be the break. Plus, this also unmotivates me as it makes me collect eggs faster (will quit this timer after collecting all pets). Second, the radio from the tutorial is nowhere to be found. Third, I hate how there’s no settings, no toggle, NOTHING. Fourth, there’s no alarm. Even if I finish my session, I can’t detect that I did because it doesn’t signal me. This brings me to my fourth issue, it deletes my timer when I return back to the app. Sometimes, I like to check the alarm to see how much time I have left after a assignment is finished. Well, I did just that, and I got JUMPSCARED by a void cutscenes with LOUD sounds (I have heart problems, don’t do me like this). This is SUPER annoying and is the reason why I’m quitting this app. Overall, this app barely even has the bare minimum.

The amount of times this encouraging app has put me on the right track is astonishing. I really don’t even know how I got alll my work done on time without it! (Spoiler: I didn’t😂)

It does its job well but to get more creatures u have to pay…only 5 types out of like 20 ..although in those 5 types u may get rarer versions …still ..also u can add some sound or whitenoise it would be nice …maybe some rain, a peaceful instrumental just some ideas

Not what I was hoping for
I thought (I’m not sure why) that this app would encourage putting time into an activity in order to hatch and then evolve a creature. Maybe even multiple creatures (habits/activities) that could be labeled (i.e., piano, a language, etc). The creatures would grow and evolve along with whatever skill you are working on. After trying this app, I searched for one like described, but none exists. Can you create this please?

Great app for increasing focus by challenging you to hatch cute aliens to add to your collection. Focus sessions of 25 minutes or longer allow you to collect rarer creatures, with the rarest creatures saved for even longer focus sessions, which tempts you into focusing for even longer periods of time! But if you fail to stay off your phone for the entire time, your creature dies, which pushes you to remain focused for the entire time you set! Great backstories are given to each creature, and collecting them becomes a fun way of charting your focus. I’m not even a student, and I love this app—it’s made all the difference in the world when it comes to helping me focus on tedious tasks!

Pasted my clipboard to Hatch when opening the app
Good app…. except that it pastes my last-copied clipboard item from iMessage to Hatch, whenever I open the app. Not sure where it goes, since there is nowhere to enter text. But it’s not cool. I’m sure a lot of us would love to know their reasoning for that and where that data goes. Might be just a coding accident, but still.
Good app otherwise, it was pretty helpful incentive to focus whenever I used it.
Uninstalled for now because no app should randomly be sending us “pasted”notifications without our permission. Otherwise I’d have given it 5 stars.

Not Great, not worth the money.
I created a focus group with my coworkers at the school I work at. Our numbers have not updated for a minimum a month. I have reached out the to support email from the app and had zero communication from the creator. Not worth spending money on this app.
Disappointed... i guess?
I was immensely excited when I first saw this app on the store, judging the fact that it was “study” related. I obviously bought this app and it was for around 3 dollars. I then proceeded to open it and started a 10 min timer just to test things out. At that point I started to get kinda disappointed... First of all the radio (music) did not work. Second of all, the app was a little glitch (the response time was slow). And that’s basically all... Although PLEASE FIX THIS BECAUSE IM ACTUALLY REALLY INTERESTED IN THIS IDEA and Im trying to het my kids to use this app as their “motivation”. Besides all the problems, I actually really liked the idea of this app. Fix this PLEASE.

It a great app and I’ve seen my production increase my only thing about is that the scree is on the whole time and it waste my battery. I had another app with same concept and it would let you turn off your phone while the timer was still on. :)
