About

Plan trips and track spending in one place. The name says “Hawaii Journey Planner,” but it happily supports any destination worldwide. Here’s what you can do. The app works primarily offline, so it stays fast even where connectivity is spotty. It has 5 tabs: Today, Trips, Budget & Expenses, Places, and Settings. ### Today The Today tab shows everything for the current day of your trip. It includes a handy time-zone comparer and exchange-rate tool, a quick jump to tonight’s lodging, and an easy view of lodging moves on moving days. A card shows today’s budget and spending at a glance, followed by today’s itinerary in order—you can add or reorder items right here. There’s also a floating map button that highlights today’s stops in order, so you always know where to go next as time passes. The background shifts with the time of day: blue by day, sunset tones in the evening, and starry at night (yes, the stars twinkle if you watch). ### Trips The Trips tab is your trip control center. See overall progress, add flights and rental cars, and view multiple lodgings with move dates. A location-history feature logs your path every 5 minutes (stored on-device/iCloud only, never sent elsewhere). You can even paste a plan from your go-to AI chatbot (e.g., ChatGPT): drop in the prompt we provide, let your chatbot produce a JSON, paste it into the app, and your schedule appears instantly. When you first create a trip, the app can suggest a title using on-device Apple AI, and the hero card may show small on-device generated snippets along the way. Location history is opt-in, logs every 5 minutes while enabled, can be turned off anytime, never sent anywhere else, and can be backed up by you via iCloud/JSON if desired. Each day supports travel journaling, and you can review all entries together at the end of the trip. ### Budget & Expenses Set a trip budget and track every expense. Data entry is manual by design (no banking connections), but once you log details you get rich breakdowns, exportable reports (Excel/PDF), and an on-device AI helper that auto-suggests categories from your text. ### Places Search and save lodging/food/sights for offline use. After searching, pick the correct result on a map to confirm. Saved places are sorted by distance from your current lodging, with travel distance shown on each row. Place detail screens let you open or search in your map app, and quickly pass the destination to a ride-hailing app. Itineraries, budgets, and places stay linked, so from Today you can open an itinerary and see its place and related spend at once. ### Settings Try the “Sample Trip” to see a full Hawaii itinerary in Korean/English/Japanese, matched to your language. Explore how the app works before creating your own trip. You can change the accent color, review permission statuses, check exchange-rate fetch history and iCloud sync status, and back up or restore all trip data via JSON.
