Free version exists
Downloaded this because it came up first in my search but you have to pay them to unlock all pages. There is an official FREE ERG available by USDOT
CAUTION!! Not the FREE app by D.O.T.
I downloaded this because I thought it was the free ERG DOT app. IT IS NOT!! This is a PAY app, and quite ridiculous at that. Why pay $30 annually for information that is already free? If you want to pay for free stuff fine, but if you want the free ERG look for that app instead.
Great for hazmat lessons
I work as a teacher teaching year 9 students through a Google meet after school about hazmat training. This is a great app and has really helped them to achieve high grades on there exams and further learning opportunities

This a a very useful tool while being on the job. However the 2024 version in print has been released . Why has the update for 2024 not been released for the app yet ?

Whose stupid idea was that? It’s bad enough to be asked to review an app, but having to say, “hold on, we’ll see how far to evacuate you as soon as I can get through these ads.”
Not to mention any banners or ads may cause confusion with the instructions needing to be provided.

Very difficult to use compared to the old one.
Upgrade charge without warning
Do not upgrade if you do not want to spend $13.99. Unable to refund! Did not have a warning.. also poor navigation, cannot access table 1,2,3 etc
Ok but needs update
The app works ok, you don’t need to upgrade to get the information. The selection buttons on the bottom are the same color as the bar they sit on so you don’t even know they are there. Just select next to the “Guide” and the other options are there.
Handy
Being in the fire Dept and being that I’m volunteer this comes in handy when I pull up on scene with my personal vehicle.

Scam
Not the real ERG app. $10 to unlock free and publicly available information. Glad I checked the app out before I actually needed it.

Not worth it
App is not worth $9.99. It’s a scam. The other ERG book is free like it should be. If this was the only app for this. I’d use the book instead. That’s free and can get updated books for free every year
