Beware HAZOP Chairmen Everwhere

There is nothing to commend the idea of the HAZOP team huddled around a mobile phone performing HAZOP for a number of minutes let alone weeks. The idea is as unimaginable as it is unworkable.

The app isn’t able to perform the basics on entering the details of the facility, names of the HAZOP Chairman/ Facilitator, HAZOP team and their roles.

The user interface is not intuitive and has no relationship to the well recognised HAZOP workflow. Worse the app has absolutely no HAZOP functionality. There is no system for entering nodes, major hazards, guidewords or association of findings with P&IDs. The RAM is not customisable to your organisation. There is no action tracking and close out system or facility to export. I can go on but you’ve probably got the picture by now.

PHAPro you have nothing to fear.
