About
THE YARD NEVER SLEEPS.
HBCU Yard Talk is a social community built for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. It is a place for HBCU students, alumni, faculty, supporters, and future students to connect, share what is happening, celebrate traditions, and keep the culture at the center of the conversation.
Created by Delante Clark, HBCU Yard Talk was built from a simple idea: our stories, conversations, creativity, and community deserve a space designed with us in mind. The app brings together the energy of the HBCU yard—from campus life and homecoming to bands, Greek life, athletics, alumni pride, food debates, study tips, traditions, and real-time conversations.
Whether you are checking in from your alma mater, preparing for your first semester, reconnecting with classmates, or seeing what is happening across the HBCU community, HBCU Yard Talk gives you a place to pull up and be part of it.

FOR STUDENTS, ALUMNI, AND THE CULTURE
HBCU Yard Talk is for the freshman looking for real advice, the upperclassman sharing game, the alum checking in, the band member building school pride, the student organization promoting a campus moment, and anyone who understands that an HBCU is more than a school—it is a family and a legacy.
This is an evolving community. Your voice, ideas, and conversations help shape what The Yard becomes next.
Pull up. Check in. Speak on it.
