A great app that just got a whole lot worse
I am a senior manager in my organisation and I see Nomad as a huge step forwards in maintaining our use of Notes and resisting the drive towards MS office applications, but I’m disappointed with the latest versions of this app because previously I could demonstrate Nomad by showing users access to one of our key business databases, which contains attached files. Previously by locating the correct file on the database and holding on the attachment, the option to view would appear and the file would open on my iPhone or iPad. Now, the latest generation has taken a huge backwards step by removing the view option and requiring me to enter edit mode before the view option appears. Clearly entering edit mode is only possible for those who have edit rights in the database and it also risks inadvertent changing or even deletion of database data.
Please fix this urgently and return Nomad to being a software tool that promotes the Notes platform rather than adds another nail in the Notes coffin.

Domino App on iPads with little to no changes!
I am a long time Domino developer (since 1994). I have also mobilized many Domino databases in my time.
I was blown away by the fact that my Domino databases worked with little to no changes needed.
If your organization needs to mobilize their Domino databases, this is a no brainer

So many things work for an initial release. Great potential here. Excited for next versions. Selecting text in rich text fields just get fixed asap, and better bookmark management. No double developing for Apple is an incredible win!

Brings the power of a host of Domino applications to mobile devices. A more tailored mobile experience takes just a few hours work with a bit of imagination and standard Domino skills (see examples on OpenNTF and presentations from user group conferences). And the applications continue to work as is desktop - or some of those design ideas could be transposed back to desktop, where appropriate. Before Domino Mobile Apps, modernising the application for offline mobile usage would have required new skills and taken days or even weeks.
