Once Again

So purchase doesn’t permit upgrade and further can’t purchase as new. In Nov subscribed as monthly but didn’t renew on its own.

Response from developer

Update:Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we apologize for the frustration you're experiencing with the subscription. The issue you're describing—inability to purchase or renew—is unfortunately related to Apple's payment system rather than the app itself. As developers, we don't have access to your payment information or the ability to process subscriptions directly. Here's what we recommend: First, try these steps: • Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions and check if Head Copy appears there. If it shows an expired or pending state, try tapping it to resubscribe • Verify your Apple ID payment method is current: Settings > [Your Name] > Payment & Shipping • Sign out of the App Store (Settings > [Your Name] > Media & Purchases > Sign Out), then sign back in • Restart your iPhone and try the purchase again ----------------------------------------- I’m sorry to hear the app stopped being useful for you. I’m constantly improving it based on user feedback, and I’d really appreciate if you could share what didn’t work or what changed so I can fix it in the next update. You can reach me directly in the LICW Discord (#head-copy-app channel) or through the feedback link in the app.

Poor player

Hey how come after I set the settings up. It doesn’t play what I choose but after I quit and lathe app it plays what I chose.
I use my iPhone and play thru my apple play in the car

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry you're experiencing issues with CarPlay audio playback. The behavior you're describing—settings not taking effect until after restarting the app—is typically related to how iOS manages audio routing when CarPlay is connected. Here are a few things that might help: Quick fixes to try: • Before starting a practice session, ensure your iPhone's audio output is set to CarPlay (check Control Center > audio output) • After changing settings, try stopping any active session before starting a new one • Make sure Head Copy has permission to access audio in Settings > Head Copy CarPlay audio routing: iOS sometimes needs a moment to establish the audio route when CarPlay connects. If you're launching the app immediately after connecting to CarPlay, try waiting a few seconds before starting your session. If the issue persists, we'd be happy to help troubleshoot further. Please reach out through the app's support page or email us directly—we can usually resolve audio routing issues quickly with a bit more detail about your setup. We appreciate your patience and hope to help you get the most out of your CW practice! 73, Car, K8APP

Fails to deliver. I found it useful until it wasn’t.

Packed with a lot

This app looks like it has a lot of great things packed into a single place.
My only problem is the subscription.
While I understand the market for an app like this is small, but $40 a year is insane.
You would be better off spending $90 for the lifetime subscription to the LICW club.
What is more aggravating is that the developer only took existing techniques and methods and aggregated it into this app and didn’t actually do any of the research or work themselves (Koch and LICW and CWOps studied implemented and updated these techniques).
I’m not against paying for an app that has value (this looks like it does) but a perpetually recurring cost with no real future development (what can they add to make it better for the money?) makes the cost outweigh the return on investment.
I’ll gladly update my 1 star review if they adjust the subscription to a more reasonable amount.

Response from developer

Thank you for trying the app! My goal is to include all the features that other apps usually charge for, but to offer them completely free in my app. The only exception is the QSO simulator, which provides realistic Morse code practice with advanced features—I’ll keep updating and improving that content over time. For example, tools like the ham radio test question pool and other study resources are free here, even though many apps charge for them. I also don’t want this to be a “pay once and forget it” kind of app. Premium is meant only for advanced users who really need it and use it daily, and I’ve tried to keep the price lower than a cup of coffee per month. For research, I’ve purchased almost all the one-time paid Morse code apps available on iPhone. Most of them only update once or twice a year—some haven’t been updated in years. I want this app to be different: actively maintained, evolving, and always improving. thank you for understanding. Also, just to share a bit of context — this is a solo project, and I work on it alongside my full-time job. All the methods included in the app are ones that I personally use and find helpful. Unlike larger teams such as LICW or CWops, I’m developing this on my own, but I truly welcome any suggestions that can help me improve the app. There are more features planned on the roadmap, so please continue to use and enjoy all the free features available in the app!
