Whatever the bugs were in the past, they have been fixed. This worked perfectly.

It works but doesn’t let you know

I was able to airdrop my health data to my new phone and open in this app without issue.

The only downside is that the import seems to take time to be displayed on your health app etc. So you might think nothing is happening.

A message to the user informing them that this process is running and to have them periodically refresh health/activities apps, would make for a nicer user experience.

Worked Perfectly

Used an old handset to export health data from. Airdropped the file to my new device and it automatically synced the data.
This filled in a 6 month gap left my backup.

I’m glad this worked as I didn’t wish to spend a fiver on the other recommended app.

Health Backup allows you to export all your data from the Health app into a secure, password-protected zip file. You can then share this file or store it wherever you like. It also enables you to import this data back into your Health app, automatically handling any duplicate entries.

How do I export my health data?

To export your data, simply open the Health Backup app and tap the share button at the top. This will generate a zip file containing all your Health app data. You can then choose to share or store this file.

Is Health Backup free to use?

Yes, Health Backup is currently available for free. The app does not have in-app purchases or advertisements.

What devices is Health Backup compatible with?

Health Backup supports all Health types in iOS 9.2 and later. This means it is compatible with iPhones and iPads running these iOS versions.

Can I read my exported health data on any device?

The generated zip file is password-protected and only readable by the Health Backup app itself. The developers are working on an update to allow exporting to 'human readable' formats in the future.
