Everything is processed on your phone. No account, no sign-up, nothing uploaded. HOW IT WORKS Your phone's microphone picks up the room. hearUP raises the level, shapes the tone to bring speech forward, and sends it to your headphones with very little delay. A live meter shows what the microphone is picking up so you can see it working. LISTENING MODES Rooms are not the same, so one setting does not fit all of them. - Conversation lifts nearby speech and trims the low rumble a room adds - Television makes dialogue clearer over music and effects - Lecture reaches for a voice at the far end of a large room - Outdoors pulls wind and traffic out from under the voices There is also a noise gate that mutes the constant hiss between words, so a quiet voice stands out instead of swimming in background noise. BUILT TO PROTECT YOUR HEARING Amplified sound in headphones can damage hearing, so the safety limits are not optional extras here: - A hard limiter is always on and cannot be switched off. Sudden noises - a door, a siren, a dropped plate - are clamped instead of being amplified into your ears. - Headphones are required. hearUP will not amplify to the phone speaker, because the microphone would pick up its own output and howl. If you unplug mid-session, listening stops by itself. - Amplification starts low and its ceiling is deliberately modest. This is an assistive amplifier, not a stage amp. Start low, raise it only until speech is comfortable, and take breaks. If it feels uncomfortable it is already too loud. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
