Lost my hearing start of Covid. Thought had to be something to help me found this helped me in so many ways to communicate with doctors. Police for service far to many to mention
App freezes
This app freezes after the first thing you say. Once you stop the microphone or click clear you can’t say anything else. Going to ask for a refund. The app would be perfect if it didn’t freeze.
Do not purchase
I bought this to talk to my deaf father. The app works one time and then does not work after that. I turned off my phone to try and reset the app. It worked one time then stopped again. Yes, I enabled my microphone. It’s a 1 only because zero is not an option.

So incredibly thankful
Thank you so much for providing this app at a simple one time cost. My boyfriend is hard of hearing and when he takes his hearing aid out at night it’s difficult to communicate. This works wonders! Super efficient! Before I was having to type out messages to him. I love that it’s not subscription based and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone if they need live captions to what they’re saying. Brilliant
This is brilliant. I work with someone who relies on lip reading and she sometimes struggles to understand what I am saying. I can’t wait to show her this app.

Love this app! It transcribes the spoken word really well. The ability to adjust the text size up to very large, and to rotate the text, means that having a distanced conversation when wearing a face mask (where is is not practical to lower thi) is greatly improved.
The ability to switch off the send transcript option in the phone settings, provides user confidence that all text is cleared at the end of the conversation.

Hearing ppl don’t like it either
I’m an Employment Counsellor tasked with identifying accommodations for Deaf jobseekers. This does not work well at all. Therefore I cannot recommend this to employers.
Great for consultations wearing a mask
Great app. Have just downloaded this and it will be great to use with patients with hearing impairment who cannot lip read while I’m wearing a mask. No issues so far
Effectivness
Having difficulty in getting it to pick up speech.
Good for close conversations
I installed this on my iPhone and my iPad. It works well in quiet settings like my doctors office. The mic needs to be close to the speakers mouth within 6 inches. I like the feature to rotate the text so the person who is being spoken to can read the text while you hold it up to you. It does not have a good range for room conversations though. So not good for meetings or lectures. I cannot afford live caption sites or CART captioning but can recommend this app. Watch the text though as it is limited like any other speech to text software and not 100% accurate but better than not hearing. Might be a good solution for seniors and those who cannot afford a hearing aid.
