About
You will not remember the second meeting the way you felt leaving the first. Heart Knows is a quiet place to record how someone actually left you feeling — a couple of hours after you saw them, while your heart still knows. Not a rating. Not a score. Just your own honest reading, kept where you can trust it later.
Add someone to your circle and they get a map of their own. Every time you meet, log the evening, then answer a short check-in when the feeling has settled. Your heart and your mind get separate space, because they often disagree and both deserve a seat at the table. Meeting two and meeting five sit side by side on the map, so you can see your own feelings move over time instead of guessing.
Check-ins are blind by design: your earlier answers stay hidden while you write a new one, so tonight stays honest rather than anchored to last time. At the start you write down which meeting you will have decided by, and up to three things you will not compromise on — then the app holds you to it and asks you to seal a real decision when you get there. Over time, Patterns shows your own rhythms, counted only from decisions you have actually sealed. Nothing is predicted, estimated, or scored, and the app never rates, ranks, or judges the people you write about.
Privacy is the architecture, not a setting. There is no account, no sign-in, and no Heart Knows server that receives your journal. Your notebook lives in a SQLCipher-encrypted database on this phone. Restoring the phone from iCloud or Google backup brings it back unless you turn that off in Settings. You can also require Face ID or your passcode (off until you turn it on), export a passphrase file only you can open, and erase everything and its encryption key in one step.
Also inside: a library of thirty-three conversations worth having, surfaced one or two at a time so nothing important slips away unspoken; twelve quiet sound beds — one for every mood — that play from the moment you open the app, from local files with nothing streamed, four of them free; and a full interface in eleven languages. Works on iPhone and iPad.
Capturing meetings and check-ins is always free, and so is exporting your data. The free tier keeps a rolling 15-day retrospective window. An Active journey subscription (monthly or yearly) or a one-time Lifetime keep purchase opens your full timeline, side-by-side comparison, Patterns, and all twelve sound beds. You can preview the full journey for seven days with no card and no charge; afterwards the free notebook simply returns to its 15-day window.
Heart Knows is a personal memory tool for adults. It is not medical, legal, or relationship advice.
