App crashing whenever saving data on iOS 18.3

There seems to be an issue when saving that force closes the app anytime you complete a workout.

Great App and Company

I have been a customer since 2016 and have always felt this was a great purchase with my grant money. Students are interested, the tech is easy and it validates and gives feedback that paretns and students can access 24/7 about the exercise students do (or don't) in class.

The recent update to the portal has long been wanted (at least by me) and the fact that they are so responsive to requests or issues that it just adds more value to their product.

They are also innovative by using open source programming and developing a new bridge to allow students with Apple watches to use their own devices, adding to the number of students that can have a devide in each class.

The company has many webinars to lean about the program and ways to use it and teach it to others. Sal Edwards (the president, I think) has even visited many teachers to observe the program getting used and get feedback from teachers about changes or additions they would like to see.

The product evolves, unlike the 3 previous sets of HRM's I have purchased through grants (Polar, Garmin, and a 3rd I can't remember) and makes using them in a class easy and adjustable on-the-fly.

Many products as well to support the App and program from books to videos, to webinars to in-person training classes makes not just the app but whole company one that I will continue to do business with and refer others to.

Amazing app for group heart rate collection

The only app I’ve seen that will collect and display real time Heart Rate data for multiple participants simultaneously. Easy to use interface, great customer service.

Wi-Fi mode issues. Please help.

My school district IT department and I cannot get this system to work in Wi-Fi mode. I am starting to think this is an app development problem but maybe with a review I can get some help. Heart Zone Inc has told us over and over again we have to whitelist things and we did everything they said. Still not working. We can get the bridges to connect to Wi-Fi but they won’t send the information back to the IPad, brand new IPad by the way. We were then told just use stand alone mode. Stand alone mode works just fine but then I cannot use most of the awesome features that heart zone advertise. This system isn’t individualized anymore because I can’t save students max heart rate, class notes and I do not have the time to input 300+ students individual max heart rate. I also can’t use the automatic email system so students and families can get their data. Developers at Heart Zone please help fix this issue. I know it cannot be just my school district. I applied for a grant to get your product and put in a lot of work to get to get it. Right now if another Phy Ed teacher asked for heart rate monitor suggestion I would not suggest Heart Zone Inc. Teachers do not have a lot time as is and all the extra time I am putting in to try and fix this issue with little to no help is getting exhausting. Might have to do a full return. If anyone reads this review and has a solution to any of this please place a review as well. I will be checking reviews everyday.

Response from developer

Hi Eric, the last time that we were in contact with your IT department was on November 16 and at that time we sent him an advanced guide for connecting the Bridge to your network. We have not heard anything back from him stating that you were still having an issue. We would be more than happy to work with you to correct this issue, but you have to contact us to let us know that there is still an issue. You can either contact me at joe.gooden@heartzones.com or our support team at support@heartzones.com. As far as using Heart Zones Move in “stand alone mode”, which means no need to connect to a Wi-Fi network, all our advertised features work perfectly. None of our features require being connected to a Wi-Fi network. The application was actually designed with this in mind and most of our teachers prefer running the application in “stand alone mode”. This is mainly due to the lack of strong Wi-Fi networks in a lot of gyms or outdoors. I would be happy to review all the features with you and how they function in "stand alone mode." As far as individualizing student’s heart rate zones, there has been no reported issues by any teachers of this taking place. The only time zones cannot be changed is when an active class is in progress. When a class is not running, heart rate zones can be updated manually participant by participant or you can do a mass update by importing a csv file to update student’s zones at one time. Heart Zones Move actually has a feature that no other system has that allows teachers to running a class and preform an activity such as the PACER test that will capture your students peak/Max heart rate and it will set your student’s heart rate zones based on their true ability all at one time. This means you’re not guesses on heart rate zones or using any type of formula which are not correct for all students. I would also be happy to address any other issues that you are having such as emails not being sent to your parents. We just need to hear from you to be able to address these issues. Thank you for your feedback and please either contact me at joe.gooden@heartzones.com or our support team at support@heartzones.com. We look forward to helping you in any manner necessary.
