About

HeatSeek is a focused thermal companion for your iPhone and iPad. It watches your device's thermal state, logs when it heats up, and helps you act before heat drains your battery or throttles performance — all while keeping every byte of data on your device. WHAT IT DOES • Live heat estimate — A clean 6-tier gauge (Cool → Critical) turns iOS's thermal state into an at-a-glance reading, updated while the app is open. • Heat Dial widget — Add the Heat Dial to your Home Screen or Lock Screen to see your heat level and charging status without opening the app. Small, medium, and Lock Screen sizes. • Charging safety — Charging while hot is hard on your battery. HeatSeek flags when your device is hot while plugged in, shows a live cooling timer, and nudges you to unplug. • Thermal timeline — Every thermal change is logged with its duration, so you can see how often and how long your device runs warm. • Smart alerts — Get notified on thermal spikes and an optional daily summary at 8 PM. Pick from several alert sounds, set the frequency, or turn alerts off entirely. • Low Power Mode reminders — A one-tap shortcut to the right Settings screen when heat calls for it. • Data export — Export your full thermal history as a shareable file. It's your data. • Light & dark, your call — System, Light, or Dark appearance. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No servers. No tracking. No analytics. No ads. Everything HeatSeek records stays on your device, and deleting the app deletes all of it. See the in-app Privacy screen for the full policy. HONEST ABOUT WHAT iOS ALLOWS HeatSeek is built on the thermal information Apple actually exposes, and it never pretends to do more: • iOS reports four thermal levels and no exact temperature, so HeatSeek's percentage and tiers are a clearly-labeled ESTIMATE — not a degrees reading. • iOS does not let apps see which other apps you're running or read Screen Time, so HeatSeek does not guess or fake that. • Widgets and background updates follow iOS's system schedule, so the widget refreshes periodically rather than in real time. We'd rather be straight with you than overpromise.
