Ho hum

Sounds like a robot voice

Too expensive

Good concept but the Hebrew pronunciation is rough. Each book must be paid for. $1.99 doesn’t seem like much but times that by 39 books if you want the whole thing. Maybe if the quality of speech were better, the app better executed, maybe it would be worth it but that’s not the case.

Has features others don’t.

This is the best app for learning Hebrew without a doubt. What sets this one apart is that you can tap on a word and it will say the word syllable by syllable plus give you the English translation, or you can choose you the option of continuous audio reading. You can speed it up or slow it way down. I’ve never found a Hebrew Bible app where you can tap on a word and it will say only that word without it progressing. It’s perfect.

Cool!

Took me a moment to figure it out but I think I got it. It would seem to me They have recorded every single sound possible (letter and diacritic/dots combo) and it plays each sound one sound one syllable at a time. I’m a beginner of Hebrew (learned a little many years ago) and never wanted to forget it. The dots/diacritics always confounded me but this app says it and shows it so I’m learning but they’ve made it sooo easy

I prefer the way the Sephardic sounds it’s the most understandable and recognizable to me but I would have liked the modern Israeli too, which is what I learned ages ago. I think they must be working on it or repairing it.

It’s very cool if you care to improve your Hebrew AND do it with the word of G-d!

Ps: Am Israel Chai and all my love and prayers from a Zionist christian in Canada! Yes there’s lots of us, were Zionist because we actually study Hebrew and read our bibles properly! 75% of our bible is 100% of your bible plus Brit Hadasha. (Very Jewish book btw, starts with genealogy of Yeshua and it quotes tanakh hundreds of times, very cool. Those groyper anti Zionist folks need prayer big time. They are lost. I’m trying to teach them without pushing them away. They are more stiff necked than Moshe’s Israelites (joke)!
Would be best if we can simply show them that yeshua is a Zionist, as it the Brit hadasha, as is the Quran too as a matter of fact. G-d bless Israel.

Great Idea - Not Ready Yet

This is exactly what I have been looking for. Clear, easy to read text and pronunciation as well. Unfortunately, the voices are extremely robotic making it hard to listen to. Looking forward to seeing the next versions with better voices and variable speed.

Very epic

the voice sounds very hebrew and very human would recommend if you want to listen to the bible

I’ve been looking for an app like this.

Perfect tool for learning Hebrew. It’s a great app.

Bible Student

Started with Free Version. Loved it. Works well and support is good. These people make the full Talmud as well and it actually talks and explains text in English. I’m a customer for all their stuff.

Use this product if you are a serious scholar, educator, or student.

This app is a very valuable tool and an important source to help you get an upper-hand success on any serous biblical reading and deeper research in Hebrew Bible. It provides you a word-to-word pronunciation, translation, and three different kinds of dialects to your personal needs. Other than that, their technical help is instant, excellent, and result-oriented, therefore, it provides you a peace of mind, assurance, and confidence to use this app, you could rarely find this kind of product with such high quality and excellent after-sale services on the current market. Therefore, I highly recommend folks to try it. E.H.

Thievery! bogus customer service

I lost $52.76. missing chunks of scripture. see 1 Chronicles 16:30-43 for example it’s not there etc...app developers won’t respond and Apple denied me my refund twice even though I sent them the receipt of purchase. DO NOT GET THIS APP YOU WILL GET ZERO SUPPORT. The app devoloper has not responded to others either but they sure are keeping the money! Yes I do forgive them all but I would be just as guilty of defrauding a brother or sister if I didn’t speak up.
Here’s what I sent a few weeks ago on the Hebrew Psalm reader app. Still no resonse or support.

Well, it’s bad how I have to start this off. I was really enjoying the complete Hebrew Reader app. I had it downloaded on my old Ipad 2. Finally upgraded to a new ipad a couple of months ago. From icloud I was able to download all my data including apps. Hebrew Reader was one of them but at that time I had only purchased Genesis. Just a few nights ago I bought all the others on the new Ipad. Yep paid for the whole thing! Genesis through Malachi. All was well but while in the midst of doing some research I got to 1 Chronicles 16. 1 Chronicles 16 is suppose to have 43 verses but the Hebrew reader stopped at verse 29. Part of 29 in the app translated but the other part did not. The rest of the verses did not continue into the next chapter as some other language translations have done. The rest of the verses just simply weren’t there. So I figured go to the app store to ask about it. It would not let me! It said I had to own the app to leave a comment. Hmm....I have $52.79 receipt that says I do. I was smart enough to not delete and reinstall as that could have cost me in more ways than one, so I was given a divine plan, meaning I didn’t come up with the plan my self. I was led to download this Psalms only reader app and pose this uhhhmmm, question, comment and expression of my confusion. So, what gives? Where is the rest of 1 Chronicles 16:30-43? (if that’s all that’s missing) and how come your Hebrewe Reader ownership info doesn’t pass from old device to new? I have this nagging feeling if I would have bought the complete Reader before upgrading my device I would have lost $50. Buyers beware. If this issue/glitch is not fixed you will lose your money. If I hadn’t backed up my info on icloud, which I didn’t want to do but glad I did, I would have lost the book of Genesis that I paid for. For those that choose not to use icloud for whatever your reason is, be especially aware. You WILL lose your stuff as Itunes no longer syncs to your computer. I realize the last sentence is old news but just incase someone missed out or didn’t make the connection because they hadn’t run into the problem I did yet. Thanks......

?

No sound.

Wonderful idea but doesn't work very well.

I really like the way this program is set up but the features don't work very well. Sometimes the audio piece doesn't work and sometimes the translation is way off. For example, the Hebrew word Shabbat is translated as the word name. When I followed up with tech support, here's the response I got.
----------------

I'll put this on my to do list, but I don't expect to work on it any time soon, because I have many other things to work on.

Regards,
Shai

Sudden, reading opt does not works :)

Why .... ?

Wish it worked better

Love it! It is a little too small. When using the audio function it would quit out of it. I love the concept and how it works, just wish it worked better!

The Best!

An answer to prayer!

Fraud of bug

Purchased Genesis. Was charged $9.99.
Read through chapter 3. System erased chapters once I read through them and asked for more money. I hope this is a s/w bug and not fraud.

Absolute best for learning Hebrew

I love this app, making great progress in my Hebrew reading. Can be useful for Bar Mitzvah preparation.

TES app

I deleted this as I was interested in the sound but it's not syllable by syllable but letter my letter and way to slow even at the fastest speed to make sense or be useful.

Great when used with other methods

I find it very useful in learning to speak Hebrew. It is not great by itself. The words are exaggerated but when learning to speak, exaggeration works good. It is hard to hear the different sounds when Hebrew is simply read. I not only want to read Hebrew, I want to speak it and understand it in different dialects, this app helps in that process
