Does not work
I PURCHASED this app today after the FREE (excellent) Hebrew translation app I had been using for years mysteriously stopped working. In 30 years of having mobiles I have never PAID FOR an app.
I entered a word I needed translating (a verb - למנף). NO MATCHES were found. I then entered the word אומנם, which is a definite proper word (which I think means ‘although’ or ‘despite’). NO MATCHES were found.
Not only would the free one translate practically every single word, it also would list potential alternatives to a word that it could not find.
This dictionary is USELESS and I feel I have been robbed. It also does not seem to be possible to contact the developer - there is no customer support.

Previously this was a single app for iPad/iPhone, however it wasn't formatted properly for iPhone displays so you couldn't dismiss the initial ad dialogue so on iPhone this was unusable.
This has been corrected with a standalone app for iPhone, though this does mean having to buy the app twice if you want it on both devices, but at £5.99 it's around the same price as a decent print dictionary so worth it to me.
Clearly targeted at Israelis given the initial advert is only in Hebrew, but there are only two choices so if you can't read the "lo achshav" button just launch again.
As a free app it's a bit odd: half the words are only accessible if you buy access to the full dictionary via an in-app purchase, though you'll still get search results - just the translation will be hidden by a "pro only" message.
Once purchased it's the same as the iPad app: Hebrew and Roman characters can be used to search for their respective words and results for both languages are given with the appropriate transliteration, i.e., Hebrew words spelled phonetically with Roman characters and English words spelled phonetically with Hebrew characters.
Hebrew results have full vowel pointing for those who aren't as good reading without Hebrew.
I'd like the ability to browse and I suppose audio playback would be nice, but as it stands it's a nice companion for holiday or quickly looking up a word on the go.

נחמד אבל רחוק מלהיות לעזר כשבאמת שצריך
אפליקציה שעובדת חלק אבל המאגר מילים מאוד חלקי ולא מקיף מספיק. חסרות מילים מקצועיות והטיות הפועל. לפעמים דווקא שצריך תרגום מהיר האפליקציה מחליטה שהיא צריכה להוריד מאגר נתונים חדש בלי לתת אופציה לדלג על כך, מעצבן.
Great until 8.3 broke it!
This broke on my phone when upgraded to 8.3, but still works on my iPad - also 8.3? I paid for the full version on my phone, but iPad one wants me to pay again? Do I really need to pay twice to use it on both? Please fix this with 8.3 - I depend upon it to help my daughter with her Hebrew homework!
