About

Hecate Viewer is the read-only companion to Hecate, the profile-driven capture app. It connects to the MQTT broker you configure, SUBSCRIBES to the asset stream, and places every incoming object on a live map the moment it is published — with a chronological feed alongside. It is a pure viewer. It captures nothing, edits nothing and publishes nothing; everything on screen came from your broker and lives only in memory. A LIVE MAP, FIRST One pin per incoming asset, placed where it was captured. Fresh arrivals pulse teal; as they age they settle to grey. The Feed tab shows the same stream newest-first, with profile colours and freshness tags. Tap a pin or row for every captured field. ASSETS FADE OUT ON A TIMER Choose how long a received asset stays visible (minutes, or forever). Pins visibly shrink and fade as their time runs out, then leave map and feed together — the screen only ever shows what is current. FILTER BY PROFILE One tap on a profile chip narrows map and feed to that workflow, in its accent colour; one more tap brings everything back. THE ONLY THING YOU NEED IS AN MQTT BROKER No developer backend, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Scan a provisioning QR from your administrator or enter the broker by hand — the password goes straight into the device Keychain. The broker's retained backlog fills the screen the moment you connect; everything after that arrives live. What appears is governed entirely by your broker and its permissions. Localized in English, German, French and Spanish. One app for iPhone and iPad.

What's New in Hecate Viewer

2.0.0

September 24, 2026

This release makes visible what used to run out of sight. • Event log — Settings › Diagnostics shows what the app is doing right now. Share it for yourself, or send it to us straight from the app when something goes wrong. It never contains passwords or asset content. • Pass the broker on — once a connection works, Hecate Viewer offers to hand it to the other Hecate apps on the same device. No retyping the address and prefixes there; your username and password stay where they are. • A broker you adopt now takes you straight to its credentials instead of leaving you to look for them. • One app for iPhone and iPad, with calmer controls and many small corrections to buttons, labels and colours.
