About

We tell you before the pressure drops. As your logs build up, compare days with a noticeable drop against the rest. ■ Counts, not predictions Weather affects people differently. So Hekto splits the days since you started logging (up to 90) by whether the pressure fell 4 hPa or more within six hours: “Days the pressure fell 4 hPa or more in 6 hours: unwell on 9 of 18” “Days it didn't fall that far: unwell on 11 of 52” “Unwell” means an unwell log that day or the next. A line says if the share was higher, lower or not clearly different on drop days; no clear difference is a result too. It is a count, not a forecast, and it's free. Pro adds counts by size of drop, for rises and for 24-hour swings. ■ Alerts Alerts come the evening before and the morning of a drop, at your chosen sensitivity, with an optional heads-up 1, 2, 3 or 6 hours before. With Pro, “From your own logs” uses a 4 hPa drop in six hours if the share was higher on drop days. “Alerts and your logs” in Report counts unwell days with and without an alert. ■ One tap on a hard day Pick a face. The pressure at that moment is saved with it. “Add details” adds symptoms, medication, a note, or a past date up to 30 days back. Optional: tags (stress, caffeine and more) and a phone barometer reading. No log yesterday? Today asks “How was yesterday?” ■ Medication counter It counts your headache-medication days over the last 30, against the “overuse” limits in ICHD-3 (the international headache classification): 15+ days a month for painkillers, or 10+ for triptans and similar, for over three months. ■ Warning signs and a doctor summary Some symptom combinations bring up a screen suggesting you see a doctor, based on published, general guidance, not an examination. “Summary for your doctor” in Report shows the last 90 days in 30-day blocks, to show or share at your visit. All free. We never lock anything related to safety. ■ No ads Not one. And we will not shrink the free tier later. ■ Free, and staying free ・Condition and medication records ・2-day forecast and alerts ・Alerts for your location ・Medication counter ・Warning signs and doctor summary The app shows the same list, word for word. Everything above not marked Pro is free too. Also on Apple Watch: now and the next 12 hours, one tap to log even offline, and on your watch face (tap a small complication to log). ■ What Hekto Pro adds ・10-day pressure forecast ・Up to 90 days back on the graph ・All your logs, and the overlap with pressure at any time ・A monthly review of your unwell logs and the weather ・Alerts set to your own threshold ・Up to 5 locations ・A 24-hour graph on the wide widget ・PDF and CSV for any period If you turn it on, Hekto reads sleep, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate and headaches from Apple Health (HealthKit) for the monthly review and, for headaches, a comparison with pressure changes. Read-only, on this device, never saved or sent. Yearly and weekly plans. Prices are shown by the App Store. Free trial length is shown in the app, per plan. ■ Please read Hekto is not a medical device. It does not find illness, and it does not decide treatment. For decisions about your health or treatment, talk to a medical professional. Do not skip an appointment, or change what your doctor told you, because of something Hekto showed. ■ Your data ・Logs, tags included, are kept and synced on our server, with your consent where the law requires it ・The optional period log (start and end dates only) and barometer readings are never sent to us ・No sign-in needed: an anonymous account works ・Delete logs, or your whole account, in the app ■ Sources Weather data: Open-Meteo (national weather services' numerical models) Apple standard Terms of Use (EULA) https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Terms https://hekto.blackstar.bz/en/terms Privacy https://hekto.blackstar.bz/en/privacy Medical notice https://hekto.blackstar.bz/en/medical-notice

What's New in Hekto | Barometric Pressure

1.2.0

October 16, 2026

New in 1.2.0 ・Your threshold, rebuilt: for each day in the last 90 (or since you started logging), Hekto checks whether the pressure fell 4 hPa or more within six hours, and counts the days you logged feeling unwell that day or the next, on drop days and on the other days. It appears after 30 logs and enough days of each kind, with a line saying whether the share was higher, lower or not clearly different. Free. With Pro, you also see counts by size of drop, for rises and for 24-hour swings. ・Pro: “From your own logs” now follows this result. If the share was higher on drop days, you're alerted when a 4 hPa drop in six hours is expected; otherwise alerts follow your sensitivity, and Notifications says so. ・Heads-up alert (free, off by default): one alert 1, 2, 3 or 6 hours before a change at your current location, on top of the evening-before and morning-of alerts. Settings → Notifications. ・Alerts and your logs (free): in Report, how many days you logged feeling unwell on days with an alert and on days without, with the forecast at alert time and the updated forecast. ・Logging a past time (free): in “Add details”, pick a date and time up to 30 days back. Entries added on a later day, 6 or more hours after the time they're for, are marked “Added later” in your Diary. ・If there's no log for yesterday, Today asks “How was yesterday?”. Tap a face to log it for yesterday at 9 p.m. ・Log tags (free, off by default): turn them on in Settings to add yawning, stress, meals, caffeine and impact on your day in “Add details”. ・Phone barometer reading (free, off by default): when you log, your phone's barometer takes one reading and adds it to the entry. It stays on this device. Log details show it next to the forecast for that time and place. ・Summary for your doctor (free): now covers the last 90 days in three 30-day blocks, with days with unwell logs, headache logs and medication (plus impact on your day and periods if you use tags or log them). Open it from Report and share it. ・Monthly review (Pro): unwell days by pressure, temperature and humidity, each set against the other days. If you log your period, the days from 2 days before it starts to day 3 are compared with the other days, on drop days and on the rest. ・Headaches in Health and pressure (Pro): with “Sleep & heart from Health” on, headaches in Apple Health are compared between drop days and other days. Read-only, counted on this device, never saved or sent. ・Apple Watch: tapping a circular or corner complication now opens logging. Fixes ・In Log details, saving a medication entry with no category no longer sets it to “Other”.
