Inconsistent at best
I will a session and sometimes it will show as recorded but never sync and then will try to create a new one. Constantly losing game and practice data. Frustrating.

Sluggish, editing games needs more work
The app is sluggish to start sessions maybe half the time. Moving between two player profiles doesn’t always refresh with the players activity or skills of the player you switch to. Have to close app and re-open to see. Today we stopped a game late and it was showing 90m of game time. So I shaved off the max in the end which was about 20m. Before saving it shows 60m of game time that would remain. Upon saving and refreshing now there is only 21m of total game log. :(

$300 paperweight
Great idea and used it for a season. However requiring a membership to pay $199 this year then $300 the following is ridiculous.
Needs work.
Great idea, implementation needs a bit more work. It would be useful to be able to adjust time for the actual workout/play as sometimes it’s not possible to start/stop at specific time. There were few times when I accidentally chosen the wrong activity and realized only after (would be useful to have the ability to correct. Recently my app is started having issues connecting. At times i would get prompt that there a previous session is active (after sync), and does not let me cancel it. For example today, I’ve started new session and a message popped up asking to continue previous session, cancel would not work. I started new session, only to find out that it only recorded 1 minute (out of an hour pf practice) frustrating to say the least. Lastly, the ability to compare scores with others has been significantly degraded. Once my subscription runs out, i will not be renewing.

App is becoming worse
Font size and formatting need to be addressed. The ability to compare stats with other players is severely reduced.
Current version doesn’t work right
The newest version doesn’t properly track. For an hour session where he was skating at least half the time he was given six minutes of stride time. He usually averages over a 1000 for these.
Cool Idea but unsure how accurate and have to be very careful how you use it
Good idea but execution needs work and unsure how accurate data is. You literally have to turn it on right before you go on ice and right off after you come off. If you forget than the stats are messed up bc it’s tracking all those minutes and hours when you weren’t skating. You think you will remember but Easier said than done. It’s great idea and think it will be good at some point but needs a lot of fine tuning (charging, activation , etc )

Question on validity
App and customer service aren’t great. Need to turn the device on literally right before you go on and if you forget to turn off the stats are messed up. I also question the validity of the stats. I went from have very very high balance speed etc as a % to very very low in a matter of a couple of weeks. That’s almost impossible to do. I asked Helios to reset the stats and they wouldn’t.

Is it planned to have option to take notes in the app at each practice and add scoring stats ? Goal, pass and all?
Great app and product
If you are a data driven coach, trainer or athlete this is a must have. Incredible insight into where the player is strong and week, where they rank compared to others their age and what they need to work on.
Add to that help with training insight, drills and skills and an easy to use interface and you’re looking at a 5* product and app.

Appreciate what this can do….
My son is 10 years old and we are always looking for aspects to improve on. The fact that this device can identify strengths and weakness is incredible.
Identifying a problem is one thing. Determining the solution is clearly another. This allows you to do both then track the progress moving forward.

GREAT PRODUCT
Hi Everyone - Helios Core is a must have product. I am a Junior A hockey player about to go play NCAA Hockey. I have always wanted to know the statistics of my skating and have always been wanted to improve it. I recently got introduced to the Helios Core and has it ever been game changer. I can now see the speed of my skating and can see when I need to be skating faster during my play. The Helios Core has so many different features and is so easy to use.
